Mountain View School District’s Camp Mt. View in Wrightwood has been providing a fun, educationally enriching and memorable summer camping experience for Mountain View School District students for 47 years. Hiking, nature, campfires, star gazing, fun, games and friendship are a few of the many elements that make up the Camp Mt. View adventure. Nestled in the beautiful Angeles National Forest in Wrightwood, Camp Mt. View is owned and operated by the school district and enables students to escape the city for a four-day, fun adventure in the mountains. Excited Baldwin Park Unified elementary school students chose backpacks filled with supplies from an array of designs ranging from basic black to flying hamburgers, from Princess Elsa to Hello Kitty! during a start-of-the-year backpack distribution on Aug. 10. Baldwin Park Unified teamed with Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center to hand out scores of backpacks to students who will attend Heath, Tracy and Vineland Elementary School.
