On Saturday, June 25, 2016, Congresswomen Grace F. Napolitano (DEl Monte) and Judy Chu (D-Monterey Park) joined forces with the California Army National Guard, the City of Azusa, and local veterans organizations to bring the VA to the U.S. Army National Guard Armory in Azusa to assist San Gabriel Valley veterans with their casework. “We salute all veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice to our country,” said Congresswoman Napolitano. “Which is why we, too, must serve and continue to show the same dedication they have shown us. We are very grateful to Congresswoman Chu and her office for co-hosting

Twin Lakes Teacher Earns Golden Apple Award

– The West San Gabriel Valley Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Region XV held their annual Golden Apple Awards, honoring outstanding individuals whose dedication and support makes an extraordinary impact on local schools, students and families. As part of Region XV of ACSA, Mountain View School District was pleased to honor Rosanna Gonzalez as its Golden Apple recipient. Rosanna is a teacher at Twin Lakes Elementary School and has been a valued member of the Mountain View School District team for 30 years. During

her three decades of service, she has served not only her students but the entire community in many capacities. For the past three years Rosanna has partnered with her church, Christ’s Church
