Well over 1,000 Men and women with resumes in hand, of diverse ages and backgrounds took advantage of several hundred job openings from such companies as FedEx, Caltrans, Newegg, Fairplex, Kaiser Permanente, El Monte Police, local car dealership and dozens more. “Employers are ready to hire on the spot, which is what sets this job fair apart from others,” El Monte Councilman “J” Gomez said to the crowd of people as they entered the auditorium. “Our goal today is to connect individuals to potential employers.”

Promoted as the largest job fair in the Eastern San Gabriel Valley, there were opportunities available to work in customer service, sales, retail, manufacturing, administration, accounting, law enforcement and more. Several dozen walked away with jobs lined up or with scheduled interviews and orientations on the following business day. This was a great opportunity for jobseekers to talk to different employers and explore some of the hidden opportunities that some of these fields / careers had to offer. Many of the prospective employers gave insight to different goals and opportunities offer by their unique careers.
