Who are we and why choose our spaces?

Midsteeple Quarter (MSQ) is a community benefit society, set up and run by the people of Dumfries. Our aim is to breathe new life into Dumfries High Street.

Our spaces are communityowned. All income generated goes back into supporting our High Street regeneration project.

Our spaces are accessible and affordable.

We have a sliding scale of hire rates to keep costs low for our community.

The Front Room The Standard, 139 High St

This is the most modern High Street unit in Dumfries. Its size and versatility make it ideal for a range of uses, from popup shops and small exhibitions, to drop-in events and showcases.

The Front Room can also be hired alongside our Green Room, to open up a range of possible uses of the whole ground floor.

The Green Room The Standard, 139 High St

Our modern, accessible and flexible ground floor event space is accessed from Standard Close, off Dumfries High Street.

Tables & chairs for 40 people. Projector and screen available. Option to divide into two rooms, kitchen facilities. Ideal for events, workshops, meetings & exhibitions.

The Garden Room The Standard, 139 High St

Our bright and welcoming Garden Room is a lightfilled, conservatory-style space. With large windows and a calm atmosphere, it provides an ideal setting for meetings, workshops and small group sessions, or as a peaceful office for the day. The room features a large table with seating for up to six people.

Hourly rate of hire: Community - £6 Charity - £10 Standard - £15 Corporate - £25

The Press 117 High St

The Press, located next to the landmark Midsteeple, is ideal for exhibitions, popup shops, drop-in events, workshops and community activities.

Its open window spaces offer fantastic promotional opportunities.

Monday - Friday £20 per day Saturday & Sunday £40 per day
