File Formats

Please note the following guidelines when preparing your ad files for Middlesex Business Matters Magazine. If in doubt, e-mail for clarification. • Press Quality PDF is our preferred file format. • We also accept EPS, TIFF, PNG and high-resolution JPG files.

General File Prep

• Use CYMK colors. • Please embed fonts (PDF and EPS) or convert type to outlines. • Send files at the dimensions at which they are to be reproduced (see the previous page for sizes). • Only full and half page ads can have bleeds. Include a 0.1875” bleed on all sides if you require a bleed. We will adjust half page ads depending on placement on the page at no extra charge. Ensure bleed and crop marks are included in your artwork. • Full bleed is required for the back cover. • Name files clearly, indicating company name and issue date.

Preparation of PDF Files To create your PDF, please use Acrobat Professional or the Export/Save feature in InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

Hyperlinked Ads

We encourage you to include hyperlinks to send readers to your Web site for more information or special offers. If you choose this option, please note the following: • Indicate the exact URL to be embedded in your online ad. • If your ad contains more than one URL, please note which text is to be linked.

Additional Charges

If your ad requires any additional manipulaton when received, you will be charged a graphic fee at the rate of $45 per hour. We offer graphic design services at the same rate.
