Wedding Collections include rental of the designated event space for a six hour event. Please note, that the Town of Middleburg requires all amplified music to end at 10:30pm.

A choice of wedding tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, and stemware are included in each Wedding Collection.

Upgrades such as farmhouse tables, velvet linens, and chargers, to name but a few, are available and can be discussed at any time during the planning process.

Decorations such as flowers, candles, and lighting are encouraged. Please note, no open flames are allowed.

Candles are required to be in a container or on a stand with a hurricane or chimney so as to avoid any damage to the Inn’s historic building. Adhering to the walls or the Inn’s artwork is not permitted.

A tent is included for The Garden Terrace with all Collections. The Courtyard Gardens may be tented for an additional fee. A ceremony weather backup tent is required to be reserved for all Collection Weddings with 60 or more guests.

Each Wedding Collection includes: a refreshment station during the ceremony, one hour open bar for cocktails, four choices of passed canapés during cocktail hour, two course plated dinner service, wine and beer with dinner, a sparkling toast, a tailor made wedding cake, three hour open bar during the reception, and a coffee station.

Catering from another vendor or facility is not permitted.

Each Wedding Collection includes a menu tasting for two, which is served as dinner in The Tavern.

An overnight stay at The Inn is also included after the tasting. Tastings are scheduled Tuesday through Thursday and must take place 45-60 days prior to the wedding date.

The Red Fox Inn & Tavern is a wedding venue and caterer and does not provide coordinator services.

A professional wedding coordinator from our PVL is required to assist with the finer details of wedding planning, rehearsal, ceremony, and day-of wedding details.

Is d an cing a llowed?

Dancing is allowed on The Garden Terrace. Dancing is prohibited indoors due to the historic nature of the building.

A ceremony rehearsal can be hosted in the Courtyard Gardens on a mutually agreed upon date.

All ceremony rehearsals must be completed by 5:00pm and last no longer than one hour.

Is it a requi rement to bo o k a ny o f t h e Inn Ro o m s ?

For Collections I & II the wedding party or guests of the wedding party must book the five Inn Rooms in The Red Fox Building (Rooms 1-5) and two second floor Inn Rooms in the Stray Fox Building (Rooms 29 & 30) for the night of the wedding. For Collection III, all 22 Inn Rooms must be booked by wedding attendees the night of the wedding. Length of stay restrictions follow the Inn’s regular schedule.

How m any Inn ro o ms a re a va i la b l e t o g u e s t s ?

The Inn has a total of 22 rooms available for guests to book. An online booking code can be created for wedding guests to reserve a room, which includes a 10% discount on the Inn’s standard rate.

Check-in for all rooms is at 4:00pm. Check-out time is 11:00am. The Middleburg Cottage and The Belmont Suite are included in each Wedding Collection, beginning at 2:00pm on the day prior to the wedding date and ending at 11:00am the day after the celebration.

Wh at is t he pa yment s chedule?

An initial payment of $15,000 is due upon signing the contract. The balance due is divided equally into two additional payments with the final installment payable two weeks prior to the wedding date.

A 3% processing fee with be applied to all payments by credit card.

The Red Fox Inn & Tavern charges a flat rate service fee depending on the Wedding Collection.

Virginia food and state taxes are applicable for all weddings and events and are charged according to the Government’s current rates.
