Torre DOS, Los Ocotes

Zapopan, MX. 2023-24

Implementation of the urban concept for the volumetric proposal

Torre DOS is part of the Los Ocotes Master Plan, fusing its architecture with the landscape. The concept originates from the Pinus Oocarpa and its history at the site. Thus, the traces of the past are connected towards the future.

Interior design and Architecture Silvana Offices

Guadalajara, MX. 2022

In the Santa Tere neighborhood in the city of Guadalajara there is a post-modern building inscribed in a chromatic context and surrounded by works of urban art.

The direction of the project is marked by respecting what already exists and the cultural preservation of the site. The concept arises from the brand and its main product: fabrics, seeking for the project to transmit movement, plot, textures and urban art.

Due to the orientation of the building and its use as offices, a multi-perforated sheet is proposed on the facades to control sunlight.

Inside, open spaces and the open floor were prioritized, highlighting the apparent finishes and keeping sal accessibility and capturing the essence of the brand.

Urban design, Interior design and Architecture

Joya Oncológico Hospital

Bahía de Banderas, MX 2022-23

The property is a five-level building and a basement with a northeast - southeast orientation that houses an architectural program distributed in 14 blocks (oncology, endoscopy, emergency, general services, imaging, laboratory, surgical, intensive care, administration, hospitalization , offices, lobby, vertical circulations and hallways).

The design concept of the hospital seeks the well-being projected into the building by conveying a holistic vision of hospital architecture.

The urban integration project considers a green envelope that accompanies physical and spiritual healing processes.

The facade proposal arises from redefining the decorum of hospitals and, in this way, finding a balance between technology, function and life, thus generating an architecture that embraces life. It is a modern facade wrapped in sunshades for thermal comfort.

The entrance square has a circuit and drop off covered by an irregular portico made up of 4 hyperbolic paraboloids.

For the development of interior spaces, design values such as pure lines, neutral, translucent spaces, with transparency and reflections are taken up, taking as a premise the use of low maintenance materials, long life, cost-benefit convenience, rough use and availability in the market.

Public’s space urban design Zoho City

Puerto Vallarta, MX 2022-23

Zoho is a symbol of Puerto Vallarta, with a public space that will welcome locals and visitors. Its zoning and programming is born from the re-creation of the environment of the ‘Pueblo de la Sierra’ where the town, the mountains and the ocean converge in the same space.

- from the countryside to the city-

Santo Domingo Ayotlicha is a rural area with high migratory rates because the current living conditions are forcing the population to leave their place of origin.

Despite the challenges faced by the locality, its high vulnerability contrasts with the great wealth of resources that can be used for its benefit. Thus, through the balanced and self-sustainable revitalization of the rural area based on its economic, social and environmental potential, it is intended that the population minimize their desire to migrate and instead develop motivations to stay in their place of origin and find elements that strengthen the identity of the locality, in order to generate a sense of belonging in them.

The architectural program arises from the analysis of the site and the problem, which gave rise to the proposal of three needs: revitalize the rural area, strengthen the sense of belonging and promote opportunities to acquire, generate or stimulate capacities, which were met with spaces that promote the training of theoretical, practical and cultural teaching, the coexistence between the users and their environment, the production of a circular economy, the creation of local identity and the use and care of the environment.

COOPERA emerges as a comprehensive response that works as a social catalyst, a scenario of opportunities for users.

COOPERA is a modular volumetric proposal integrated into the existing context. Within the project, there are many spatial connections between outer and inner space. The creation of walkers and ramp allows universal and free accessibility. The presence of interior patios allow ventilation and the capture of natural lighting.

STRUCTURE

For the construction of the modules, a structure of rigid reinforced concrete frames is proposed in order to generate a versatility because the dividing walls can be adapted to future needs, promoting their appropriation.

The use of local materials as identity elements and the proposed construction systems allow the local workforce to be involved since it is intended that the project serves as an example to regulate future buildings.

Due to the deficiency and non-existence of municipal networks, eco-technologies are proposed so that the project can be self-sustaining.

The project started from the evolution of a rectangular volume that was modulated from the compositional axes of the historical reminiscence existing. In order to highlight its importance, it was proposed as the guiding idea of the project when framing it.

Therefore, from that pure geometry, its decomposition and integration to the natural topography of the area were sought through the game of heights.

By resuming the size of the restaurant as the main module to be replicated and become the architectural program of the project, it allows a volumetric proposal that respects the existing vegetation and topography.

These volumes are traveled through the mysterious routes that cross or surround the buildings, which motivate the user to travel the space on foot, by bicycle or on horseback, and thus the vibrant space is fully enjoyed.

order to connect with the forest that characterizes the site.

The use of natural resources for the implementation of ecotechnologies and the use of materials that blend with the context, were considered to create an integration between the existing and the new.

The program of the project includes commercial, housing and recreation areas which were specifically created to offer entertainment activities for the diverse users.

FLORESTA Project also has the ability to be visited at night, offering a fascinating, quiet and romantic atmosphere due to the enhancement of its lights before the immense darkness.

Night tours are something that the user needs to do in order to have a complete experience of the whole project, since different sensations are generated through them.

The Mercad Central houses commercial premises designed for the main needs of residents and their visitors. The building also has offices for both residents and visitors were they can develop business or educational activities enjoying great views of nature through its terrace.

STEELCASE NEXT HUB

Student Design Competition

Washington, D.C 2019

NEXT HUB was raised as an extension of NEXT University. The project aims to increase its reach in a large urban population to provide an alternative place for students of all ages to meet, connect, explore and participate in lifelong learning experiences.

Learning is a very important skill, but above all it’s an element of great help throughout life because you never stop learning, even learning motivates you and develops very important cognitive skills. That is why we seek to change the paradigm of learning through “ideas” which are created by previous and new knowledge that when brought together they concrete.

On the other hand we wanted a concept that reflected the stages of life, since in each one there is a key idea that develops different abilities characteristic of the age, that is why we think that ideas are born, grow, develop and mainly it is intended that they are maintained by sharing them with other people.

Therefore, as the last inspiration we take the communication and direct coexistence of people, when reflecting this exchange of ideas, in a graphic way the usual balloon of conversations is used, which is reflected as a key conceptual element of the project.

RESIDENCIAL KALI

Puebla, México 2018

It is a residential complex of vertical housing and mixed use located in El Carmen, which is a traditional Puebla neighborhood, in which its population lead a life rooted in their traditions and customs.

The essence of the project is the urban slab. In it, the slabs of the amenities were connected and intertwined with each other in order to create an urban weave or connection with the Carmen neighborhood.

Due to the pedestrian influx that was found in the area, it was important to create an urban plaza on the ground floor of the complex to rescue and promote the coexistence of the community.

Likewise, it was decided to lengthen the side and front sidewalks to create a much more urban environment, thus generating four pedestrian accesses.

The architectural element did not seek to integrate into the existing context because it is proposed as a new milestone.

b.d barcelona design

The design of the stand for b.d barcelona design was carried out as a university project where the essence of the brand had to be captured in the space and at the same time to display products

The entire stand was intended to function as a walkway where visitors could walk through the space and interact with the products.

Dark colors were chosen to enhance the textures and the extravagant colors of the brand’s products, it was also important that the stand functioned at the same time as a sample of the profiles that were used for the structure.
