This course will provide an overview of Medicare, including who is eligible, how to enroll and when to enroll. Participants will gain an understanding of the four parts of Medicare and how they work together to provide coverage for medical expenses. Additionally, the course will cover the costs associated with Medicare and ways to mitigate those costs. By the end of this course, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to navigate Medicare with confidence and make informed decisions about their healthcare coverage.

Basic Life Support Provider course is designed to teach CPR skills to aid victims of all ages. The use of AED, ventilation with barrier devices and relief of foreign body airway obstructions are taught. Drivers Education teaches teens the basic traffic laws, driver awareness, rules of the road and basic motor vehicle operation. This class consists of 20 classroom hours and five hours of drive time. Driving session will be separate from class time. Students must be 14-18 years-old, attend all sessions, have a learner’s permit before class begins and meet all drive requirements in order to obtain the Drive Test Waiver. The Nebraska DMV reserves the right to test anyone at any time. A book will be provided.

Students will explore sumo builds and then design their own sumo wrestler. Wrestlers will use the ultrasonic sensor to detect their opponent and the color sensor to stay within the boundaries of the wrestling surface. On the last day a round robin tournament will determine the inaugural MCC LEGO® SPIKE™ Sumo Wrestling Champion.

Make! design process and using content provided by the Raspberry Pi Foundation, students will explore the Scratch programming language. Employee intake and onboarding for any industry is important and it sets the tone of the relationship between the manager(s) and the worker(s). On-boarding new employees allows the opportunity to get an overview of the operation, meet other employees, suppliers, etc. and learn employment policies, job description, responsibilities and duties. Doing this fosters open communication and helps with employee retention. This program discusses the importance of creating an onboarding and intake process and the basic steps to create one. Each year, thousands of injuries related to forklift and warehouse equipment accidents occur in the U.S. Unfortunately, most employee injuries and property damage can be attributed to lack of safe operating procedures, lack of safety-rule enforcement and insufficient or inadequate training. As it is a violation of federal law for anyone UNDER 18 years of age to operate a forklift or for anyone OVER 18 years of age who is not properly trained to do so, this class will OSHA train and qualify students to legally operate a forklift, scissor lift, telehandler and skid steer. A certificate of completion will be offered upon conclusion of the class.

With a focus on practical skills and real-world applications, this course empowers you to tackle repairs with confidence—saving time, money and frustration while keeping your engines in top shape! S.T.A.B.L.E. is the most widely distributed and implemented neonatal education program to focus exclusively on the postresuscitation/pre-transport stabilization care of sick infants. Based on a mnemonic to optimize learning, retention and recall of information, S.T.A.B.L.E. stands for the six assessment and care modules in the program: Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood pressure, Lab work and Emotional support. A seventh module, Quality Improvement, stresses the professional responsibility of improving and evaluating care provided to sick infants.

Topics range from basic vehicle operation to whistleblower protection. Labs are hands-on training for the driver, enabling them to conduct a proper pre-trip, en-route and post-trip (DVIR) inspections, proper hooking and unhooking procedures and sliding of tandems and fifth wheels. Driver trainees will learn how to maneuver a tractor-trailer around tight corners, make proper lane changes and drive in traffic. They will also learn and become proficient in backing and docking.
At the end of this training, Central States Safety and Driver Training will administer the necessary CDL Skills tests for the driver trainee to get their CDL License.

The Basic Rider Course is based on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) curriculum. Riders can get a license and learn essential riding skills in one course. MSF designed the BRC for beginner riders with no previous riding experience, and it’s also recommended for returning riders. Students are required to complete the MSF eCourse online prior to the class start date. Students can take the eCourse for free and will receive instructions upon full registration.
