Steven Dale Kramer, 60, of Nora Springs, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at the Mercy Medical Center of North Iowa in Mason City. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 7, at the Bohl Center in the Marble Rock Gym in Marble Rock. A visitation was held one hour prior to the service. Steven Dale Kramer was born January 13, 1955, to Ronald and Steven Kramer Beulah (Nikolas) Kramer in Charles City. He graduated from Rockford High School in 1973 before working at Oliver, Farmland and as a semi driver. He also worked for the fertilizer plant in Charles City and for Hampton Hydraulics for 20 years. Steve loved cars, his ‘68 Cougar speciÂżcally. He did all his own mechanic work and for his family. He took pride and joy in every vehicle he owned. Steve was a dedicated employee and a very hard worker. When he wasn’t working or working on a car, he would often take road trips to see family members. Steve was a great father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend. 1955-2015 Left to cherish his memory are his Services: parents, Ronald and Beulah Kram2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7 er; daughters: Heather Kramer, of Bohl Center, Aredale; and Krystin (Nick) Miller, Marble Rock of Readlyn; grandchildren: Haelie Arrangements by: Hawley and Benjamin Miller; sibShekler Colonial Chapel lings, Mike (Norlene) Kramer, of Chapin; Linda Pearce, of Rockford; Nora Springs Joe (Becky) Kramer, of Marble Rock; and Richard (Marta) Kramer, of Nora Springs; as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Steve was preceded in death by his brother, James Kramer; grandparents, John and Theresa Kramer, and Herman and Leta Nikolas; cousins, John Engels Jr., Pat Engles, and Janet Engels; two aunts Carol Peterson, and Helen Handt; and two uncles, Frank Nikolas and John Engels. Steve’s family would like to thank the Nora Springs Care Center staff for the wonderful care given to him during his stay there. The Sheckler Colonial Chapel of Nora Springs was in charge of arrangements.

Larry Lee Jensen, 70, of Hampton, died on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Rehabilitation Center of Hampton in Hampton. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Hampton with Pastor Steve Winsor ofÂżciating. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, February 9, at the Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home in Larry Jensen Hampton. Burial was in the Hampton Cemetery in Hampton. He was born February 28, 1944, in Hampton, to Lawrence Christian and Gwendolyn Vivian (Potter) Jensen. Larry graduated from Hampton High School in 1962. He married Deanna Jean Wilkinson in 1966, to this union three daughters were born Tammie, Dawn, and Julie. Larry was a member of the Army National Guard. He worked as a meat cutter at Birdsell Grocery Store, B&W Foods in Hampton and J&C Grocery in Dumont and ShefÂżeld. Larry was baptized in the Hampton United Methodist Church in Hampton. He enjoyed family gatherings, Âżshing 1944-2015 at Leech Lake, bowling, watching Services: sports on TV (especially Big Ten) 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10 and old westerns. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home, Larry is survived by his daughter, Hampton Tammie (Doug) Casey, of Hampton; Burial: daughter, Dawn (Chad) DeVries, Hampton Cemetery, of Waukee; daughter, Julie (Kirk) Hampton Jensen Gunderson; grandchildren: Arrangements by: Nicole (Casey) Schlachter, Jordan Casey, Jenna Casey, Emily Casey, Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home Chase Casey, Tate DeVries, Sam Hampton DeVries, Natalie Gunderson, Anna Gunderson, and Keaton Gunderson; and a great grandson, Cooper Schlachter. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Bill and Don Jensen; sisters: Lois Daum, Barbara Whipkey, and Esther Freeman; niece, Jean (Daum) Iverson; and nephews, Rod Freeman and Curt Jensen.

Galen Landers, 94, of Greene, died on Saturday, February 7, 2015, at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. Funeral services for Galen Landers, 94, of Greene, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Greene, with Pastor Gary Hatcher ofÂżciating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene. Military Honors will be conducted by Tack-Barnett Post 268, American Legion of Greene. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m., on Tuesday, February 10, at the Retz Funeral Home in Greene, with a prayer service starting at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church one hour before services on Wednesday. Frances Runge Frances Runge, 93, of Alden, died on Monday, February 2, 2015 at her home. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6, at the Immanuel Memorial U.C.C. in Alden with burial in the Buckeye Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, February 5, at the Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls.

Alvin Mensing Alvin Mensing, 83, of Coulter, died on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at his home in Coulter. Graveside services will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, February 16, at the Alden Cemetery in Alden. Alvin Wallace Mensing was born May 6, 1931, at the Ellsworth HosAlvin Mensing pital in Iowa Falls to Henry L. and Marie (Engeland) Mensing. He was raised on the family farm in Lee Township, Franklin County. He was a member of the Lee Center Methodist Church. Alvin attended Lee Center county school and graduated from the Iowa Falls High School in 1949. Alvin graduated Ellsworth College and attended one year at Iowa State University before being drafted into the Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954. Al began working for Ralston Purina in Iowa Falls. He married Janice E Persons in 1955, they had two daughters Janal and Jodel and were later divorced. Alvin became an insurance underwriter for 1931-2015 Farmers Union in Colorado. Thru a Graveside Services: referral Al began working for Martin 1:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 16 Marietta. It was during this time that Alden Cemetery, he married Kaye Gosser.They were transferred to the corporate ofÂżce in Alden New York City, where Al was corpoArrangements by: rate insurance administrator for MarSietsema-Vogel Funeral Home tin Marietta. Upon the death of his Hampton parents, they moved to a farm near Iowa Falls. Alvin and Kaye had a daughter Diana and a son Todd. Al sold the farmland and purchased property in Alden. In 1979 Kaye passed away. In 1988 Alvin moved to Waterloo Iowa where he was and apartment manager for the H.R Lubben CO. Alvin retired and moved to Coulter Iowa in 2006 to be closer to family. Al enjoyed reading, bird watching, decorating his yard each season, tinkering in his garage, socializing and having meals with his friends, talking farming with his son Todd and attending his Granddaughters school events. Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Marie and wife Kaye. Survived by a son, Todd (Lori) Mensing, of Coulter; daughters: Diana Mensing Cowan, and family, of California; Janal Bennett and family, of Texas, and Jodel Kerkera, and family, of Washington; granddaughters: Danielle, Brooke, Tiffany, Sarah, Emeline, and Kelly; grandsons: Travis and Tim; great-grandchildren: Braelynn, Emerson, Abel, Madison, Ian, Ayden, Tristan, and Fiona; and a brother, Verlyn Mensing, of Iowa Falls.
