The MTR3 is an equipmentt designed for characcterizing the su urface mechanical properties of thin films, substrate influence, and d coatings and so on.

Specifically, the abovve mentioned ccharacterization n it is carrried by mean ns of two fam milies of alreaady populaar tests in scientific world. They are: miccro indenttación test (ISO 14577:2005 “Meta allic materrials. Instrumeented indenttation test for f hardneess and materrials parameteers”), and scrattch test (ISSO 1071‐3:2005 “Advanced teechnical ceramiics.
