Dear Hall of Fame Legends, ACE Ambassadors, Chairman’s Scholars, MMSDC Members, Sponsors and Supporters: As Vice Chairman of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC), I am honored to welcome you to the Ambassadors Champion Excellence (ACE) Awards and Chairman’s Scholarship Gala. Tonight, we celebrate and honor those who have been strong champions of supplier diversity and supportive of MMSDC’s mission. In addition, we will honor minority undergraduate students for their academic achievements and community activities. Congratulations and a BIG thank you to this years’ Hall of Fame Legends, corporate, individual and MBE Ambassadors. You all are leaders and champions of supplier diversity and are creating opportunities, diverse spend growth and value through the supply chain. Your work is having a positive impact on our march to parity. To the recipients of the Chairman’s Scholarship, congratulations on your great achievements. Your future is bright, and we look forward to your future accomplishments and contributions.

I would like to thank Michelle, and the staff of MMSDC for another successful year providing tremendous support, services, and training to the MBE community and for your ongoing partnership and support of corporate members. You all have shown tremendous agility transforming your collaboration methods and services during these challenging and dynamic times. I would also like to thank Scott Thiele and the board of MMSDC for working closely with Michelle and her team to deliver innovative services and programs to advance MBE business prospects and to grow corporate support of MBE development and diverse procurement growth. Finally, thank you to all our members. Whether you are a corporate member or MBE, you all are part of a community driving diverse business growth and opportunities in the state.
