What is ASC-WDS?
The Adult Social Care Workforce Data Set (ASC-WDS) is the national database for the adult social care workforce in England. Employers who register and keep their workforce records up to date can access funding for staff training through the Workforce Development Fund (WDF)


To Create an ASC-WDS Account
Go to the official Skills for Care ASC-WDS website:
https://asc-wds.skillsforcare.org.uk
Select ‘Create an Account’ (if your organisation is not yet registered)
Complete the online registration form with
Your organisation details (CQC location ID if regulated)
Main contact details
Type of service provided
Submit the form
You will receive confirmation and login details by email once verified


Logging In
Go to https://asc-wds.skillsforcare.org.uk
Use your registered email and password to log in
You may be asked to set up security questions when logging in for the first time
Keeping Your ASC-WDS Account Up to Date
Add details of your staff, their roles, and qualifications
Update records regularly, you must have an up-to-date ASC-WDS account to be eligible for WDF funding


Applying for Funding
Funding is accessed through the Workforce Development Fund (WDF)
Once your ASC-WDS account is up to date, you can apply for funding via a WDF partnership or directly if your organisation is a member

Make sure you update your workforce records at least once every year, otherwise, your account becomes inactive, and you won’t be eligible for funding
