T his magazine ’s topic is design .

T he suggested name was ‘ M oiré’, which is a pat tern created when a semitransparent object with a rep etitive pat tern placed over another. T his is integrated in the let ter ‘o’ of the name.

T he ar ticles I used , connect the design industr y and the world outside it , going for a cultural approach . For the cover, I was lo oking to create an illustration or a collage composition with pictures taken by myself, and the headline I chose as a main ar ticle gave me many resources to work on it .

Words like pastel- colored and ice cream were key in creating the main image. Using a script font for the title is the final touch for a more relaxed lo ok , also matching the word ice cream .

For this concept I got inspired in ever y thing I like: music, fashion , aesthetics ... and tr ying to express myself through my graphics .

GL AMMED references the iconic glam R ock st yle from the 70 ’s and finding its visual st yle around the per formance and stage world in music.

T here is a lot of photo edition in a collage st yle, implementing vibrant colours and tex tures that gave personalit y to the whole magazine and ties properly to its theme.

T he approach for this project was to target a family friendly look , using a color ful but calmed colour palet te

contrasting the strong pat terns and fur of the animals inside of the Farm Zoo. T he concept of ‘ Farm’ contrasts with ‘Zoo’: the first conveying a sense of cute and domestic animals , versus the feeling of adventurous , excitement and wild animals . T his dualit y was intented to be shown in the colour pallet te, pat terns , tex tures and the logo.

A let termark logo was used in this rebrand , integrating shapes of animales in each let ter of the name.

T he Oaklawn Farm Zoo located in Aylesford , N ova Scotia , focuses in conser vation , education and strong commitment to fun for the whole family. T hey asked for a rebrand that can b e integrated across signage and adver tising . T he desired look and feel is mo dern , visually eye - catching and friendly.

OLY V is a global skincare company that creates and sells organic face, body and hair care derived from the ear th organic oils , herbs , tea leaves , fruits and vegetables .

Ever y thing they do is sustainable and bio degradable.

T heir target audience is women (324 5 years old) who shop organic. T hey required a logo, business card and merchandise with a green , beige and white colour palet te. T heir preferred st yle for the logo is modern , simplistic and botanic.

T he new logo conveys exclusivit y, minimalism and a mature approach .

B eing an organic brand , OLY V wants to let their customers know that less is more when it comes to organic ingredients , that a p ersonalized exp erience is key for this brand , and that OLY V knows a person with a busy life needs peace of mind and a minimalist skincare routine.

An app was designed for OLY V. T he fo cus on this project was to have a big , futuristic idea to solve some problems p eople currently have when using these kind of products .

T he following were the solutions integrated in this protot ype: °

Smar t b ot tles with W iFi that tracks the pro duct ’s amount level and pump the right amount of product when using . T hey will be refillable to help reducing waste and linked to the app.

°

T he hair and the skin can be scanned with the smar tphone to collect information on the needs and ingredients that will cover their concerns . the user will have an insight of the tex ture and smell of the pro duct of interest .

°

A routine, notifications and recommendations will be delivered through the app, as well as a complete analysis on usage, replacement of products and order placements .

Book design T he B eatles have been a big par t of my life and I wanted to pay tribute to this feeling . I chose to do the B - side of the Abb ey R oad album , which are shor t songs that tell a stor y that I wanted to illustrate.

By hand , I did drawings of the let tering for each song . I tried to match the vib e of each one, as well as cho osing a colour palet te appropiate for the theme. T hen , the let tering was vectorized and colorized .

W ith tex tures and colours , I wanted to convey a hand -made and vintage feeling since we are talking about songs made in the 6 0 ’s .
