Bromsgrove Golf Club reaches 30 year milestone
This year Bromsgrove Golf Club celebrates its 30th anniversary with a series of events.
The Morris family developed the golf centre in 1992 with a driving range and a nine-hole course. The success of the first nine holes soon became apparent thanks to the initiative shown by Ted and his sons Philip and Adam, who invested in the flair and style of highly respected golf course architects Hawtree & Son.

Many golfers then started asking about membership which resulted in Bromsgrove Golf Club being formed in 1993, the affairs of which are managed by the members. The course was increased to 18 holes a couple of years later and the club is now home to more than 800 members.
Earlier this year Edward’s Bar and Restaurant underwent a significant refurbishment and is open to members and the general public, serving an extensive range of meals and beverages.
We are holding a festival of golf in August to celebrate 30 years of golf at the club. This will provide an opportunity for golfers from other clubs to come and enjoy the challenge of Bromsgrove with its beautiful mature trees and undulating fairways at a series of open competitions.
The programme starts with a Mixed Pairs Open on Sunday, August 13th. The entry fee is £15 for members and £20 for visitors which includes a cream tea after your game. This is followed by:
• An AmAm on Tuesday, August 15th: teams of four (any combination) with two scores to count
• A Greensomes Stableford on Wednesday, August 16th: pairs (any combination)
• An Alliance on Friday, August 18th: teams of three (any combination) with two scores to count.
