OUR PLAN
Keeping rural areas connected and protected
We are committed to keeping our rural areas connected and protected. While broadband connectivity has improved, we will continue to address any gaps in provision and work with providers to improve mobile signal reception. We will also work closely with partners to continue to tackle cross-border crime.

We believe in building strong communities that support both young and old. We will continue to invest in youth provision across the district, as well as enabling dementia care cafes and other services to reduce social isolation and loneliness. Our use of the world-leading ‘Asset-based Community
Backing our creative sector and The Artrix

3
We are proud to have secured over £600,000 investment for The Artrix. Working closely with the Holding Trust, we will develop a clear business case to enhance and secure our creative sector offer across the district.
Upgrading our transport and tackling traffic
4
Through engaging with Worcestershire County Council, we have commissioned a strategic transport assessment for Bromsgrove and beyond. Our upgrades to the A38 will improve congestion and traffic flow, while our Demand Responsive buses have already started and will be expanded. We have restored bus services to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in Birmingham, now including Sunday running.
Improving our town centres and high streets
5
Following the appointment of a dedicated town centres manager, we have adopted a strategy for our eight commercial centres across the district. Our investment of over £16 million in regenerating Bromsgrove Town Centre will act as a catalyst for inward investment and job creation.
Making our area cleaner and greener
6
Our efforts include tackling fly-tipping and prosecuting the worst offenders. We will also deliver more electric car charging points across the district and examine opportunities around hydrogen.
