There’s a theory that modest intoxication opens our minds to the world around us, diminishing our problems and increasing our creativity. Heartened by that theory, Martin (Mads Mikkelsen) and three of his friends, all tired high school teachers, embark on an experiment to uphold a constant level of intoxication throughout the workday. In this Oscar winning Danish comedy, things get just a little bit out of hand. (Denmark 2020) (English Subtitles) is being screened on Saturday, 29th April at 7.30pm.
In the West End of 1950s London, a murder interrupts a smash hit play. When world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Sam Rockwell) and eager rookie Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) take on the case, the two find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theatre underground, investigating the mysterious homicide at their own peril. A cracking yarn with its tongue firmly in its cheek. (UK 2022)
