Grab your popcorn for movies in the park

lue Sky Cinema’s drive in movies are coming to Sanders Park, Bromsgrove from August 7th to 9th and August 21st to 23rd.

A mix of classics from the 1980s and 90s as well as the latest blockbusters will be displayed on two giant LED screens during the day and into the evening, providing the perfect opportunity to enjoy family films, romcoms and action movies from the safety of your own car. With 18 films showing over six days, there is something for everyone whether you prefer sing-alongs like Mamma Mia, Grease and The Bodyguard, more recent films including Joker and Rocketman or family favourites like Back to the Future and Jurassic Park. A family of four can enjoy the movie in their car for as little as £22 (including booking fees), with the knowledge that social distancing guidelines are built into the experience and if you are the designated driver, a free bottle of water is available. If you work for the NHS,

emergency services or the local authority, you can enjoy a movie for all occupants of a car, for £11 (ID required). Food and refreshments can be pre-ordered including a Retro Box, which takes customers back in time with candy floss, popcorn and sweets from the 80s, or for those looking to enjoy a “Gourmet” experience, there will be handmade crisps, toffee popcorn, raspberry ripple marshmallows and Belgium chocolates, Prosecco and - for the designated driver - fresh orange juice. Ian Taylor, managing director of Blue Sky Cinema, thanked Bromsgrove District Council for the opportunity to bring movie experiences to local people at Sanders Park.
