A pathway to certification
Multiple Measures is a pathway to certification for candidates who miss the required Praxis exam by a small margin, but who have completed all other requirements.
Are you Eligible for Multiple Measures?
In order to qualify, you must:
1. Be eligible or hold a Delaware educator’s license.
2. Have taken the applicable Praxis for that certificate and earned a score that is within the Multiple Measures margin. See list of tests and acceptable scores. Elementary Candidates may only use one subject area (subtest) for Multiple Measures. All other subject areas must be passed.
3. Be applying for an eligible certificate. See list of Certificates.
4. In order to qualify, you must meet one of the following conditions:
a. complete a Traditional Educator Preparation Program and meet the GPA requirements, OR
b. complete an ARTC program and meet the GPA requirements.
GPA Requirements
If you meet the qualifying score and the GPA Requirements for your Program, you are eligible for Delaware licensure without further measures.
Multiple Measures Options
1) An approved Micro-credential
2) An earned score on the Praxis Performance Assessment (PPAT) of 38 or higher. The PPAT is still a WilmU graduation requirement.
3) Completion of a Year-Long Residency with a grade of S.

Multiple Measures Checklist
Use this checklist as a Resource in qualifying for Multiple Measures.
Take the Praxis II exam required for your degree program
Determine if your score is within the Multiple Measures margin.
If Elementary Education, you must achieve the passing score on three of the four subject area subtests. Only one subtest may be used for Multiple Measures.
If you meet your program's GPA requirements, you are eligible for Delaware licensure without further measures.
Your GPA may require you to complete one other measure:
1. An approved Micro-credential
a) Core Proposition #2: Knowing Your Content and How to Teach It to Students
b) Core Proposition #3: Managing and Monitoring Student Learning
c) Setting Objectives and Providing Feedback
2. An earned score on the Praxis Performance Assessment (PPAT) of 38 or higher.
3. Completion of a Year-Long Residency with a grade of S.
Apply for your license through DEEDS. You will be issued a deficiency; however, this will be resolved when WilmU validates your compliance with Multiple Measures and submits an Attestation Form to your record in DEEDS upon degree conferral.
