MEC Clinical Ethical Standards

1. I hereby attest that I have read and understand the American School Counselor Association Code of Ethics as stated in ASCA Ethical Standards for School Counselors, and will practice my counseling in accordance with these standards. Any breach of these ethics or any unethical behavior on my part could result in my removal from internship/practicum and a failing grade.

2. I hereby attest that I have read and understand the School Counseling Program Dispositions and will participate and practice during my internship/practicum in accordance with expected dispositions. Any breach of these dispositions on my part could result in my removal from internship/practicum and a failing grade.

3. I agree to adhere to the administrative policies, rules, standards and practices of the practicum/internship site.

4. I understand that my responsibilities include keeping my practicum/internship supervisor(s) informed regarding my practicum/internship experiences.

5. I understand that I will not be issued a passing grade in Internship unless I demonstrate the specified minimal level of counseling skill, knowledge, and competence and complete course requirements as required.
