CITI Registration (First Time Registrants)

The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Research, Ethics, and Compliance Training

Instructions for New- Registration

To access the training, please register at: https://www.citiprogram.org/

1. Once on the site create an account by clicking REGISTER.

2. Select the organization by entering full or partial name (Grambling State University is the organization.) Then click continue to Step 2.

3. Complete Steps 2-6 in the registration process and then Agree to terms and Affirm that you are affiliated with Grambling State University by checking the corresponding boxes.

4. At Step 7 you will select your curriculum as follows:

A. FOR NURSING STUDENTS, NURSING FACULTY AND RESEARCHERS WHO WILL COLLECT PRIVATE HEALTH INFORMATION (PHI) OR WILL CONDUCT STUDIES IN CLINICAL (HEALTHCARE) SETTINGS – select:

Question 1:select, Biomedical Researchers

Question 2: select, "Not at this time"

Question 3: select, "Not at this time"

Question 4: select, "Not at this time"

Question 5: select, "Not at this time"

Question 6: select, Biomedical Responsible Conduct of Research Course

Then click the “Complete Registration” button. You should then be forwarded to a page that says: Welcome to the CITI Program. Your registration is complete.

B. FOR

ALL OTHER GSU EMPLOYEES/FACULTY, PROFESSIONAL STAFF, GRADUATE STUDENTS (MASTER’S AND DOCTORAL), OR POST DOC STUDENTS – select:

Question 1: Social-Behavioral –Educational Researchers

Question 2: select, "Not at this time"

Question 3: select, "Not at this time"

Question 4: select, "Not at this time"

Question 5: select, "Not at this time"

Question 6: Social and Behavioral Responsible Conduct of Research Course

Then click the “Complete Registration” button. You should then be forwarded to a page that says: Welcome to the CITI Program. Your registration is complete.

C. FOR UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS – select:

Question 1: Social-Behavioral –Educational Researchers

Question 2: select, "Not at this time"

Question 3: select, "Not at this time"

Question 4: select, "Not at this time"

Question 5: select, "Not at this time"

Question 6: select, Responsible Conduct of Research for Students

Then click the “Complete Registration” button. You should then be forwarded to a page that says: Welcome to the CITI Program. Your registration is complete.

Once you complete and finalize your registration and select the appropriate curriculum, you are now ready to begin the online training. Be sure that you select and complete the correct training modules. A COPY OF THE COMPLETION CERTIFICATES MUST ACCOMPANY ALL IRB APPLICATIONS. IRB APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE APPROVED WITHOUT A CERTIFICATE OF SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF CITI TRAINING.
