Expand your business!
The best laser technology in aesthetics has been perfected, and made easier to use safely, more powerful, faster and offers possibilities like never before.
ULTRApulse Alpha conveys the well anticipated combination of technological advancement and ease of use, allowing you to achieve WOW results in just one treatment.
With an unmatched peak power of 240Watts (!), and shortest pulse duration, the ULTRApulse Alpha produces more ablation, with less heat and residual damage - and that means achieving remarkable results while maintaining patient comfort and shorter downtime.
The Alpha Air Brush quick treatment mode, available ONLY with the ULTRApulse Alpha, and enhanced by the CoolScan™ and BrushFX™ scanning options, is a game changer for anyone wanting to perform ablative treatments.
Developed alongside laser-savvy professionals, the Alpha provides treatment-based recommendations and presets, giving you full control and confidence every pulse of the way.
Lumenis’ engineers have further enhanced the ease of use of this advanced technology with built-in smoke evacuator control and additional features allowing you to focus your attention on your patient, because that’s what really matters!

Immediately upon testing the new ULTRApulse Alpha, I loved it. It’s designed for the provider and patient’s benefit. The new features work together to create advanced usability that facilitates treatment...
Inferior devices are not a bargain. They’re the opposite because they put you and your patients at an unacceptable disadvantage. So do your homework, make the right choice, and learn your new technology. Once you have the physics down and you’re giving your patients extraordinary outcomes, you’ll be glad you did.
Jill S. Waibel, MDWavelengths below 2,000nm do NOT provide ablation, but only heat
Er:YAG (2,940nm) is too ablative. The skin becomes a barrier and there is not enough penetration (therefore, less collagen production stimulation). Lack of dermal heating leads to bleeding without the ability to coagulate.
CO2 (10,600nm) provides an ideal combination of ablation AND heat to the dermis
• Full-field resurfacing affects the entire area of treated skin
• Fractional resurfacing treats a portion of the scanned area, leaving untouched areas of skin
• Untouched areas of skin allow faster recovery, reduced patient discomfort, less downtime and faster healing
• ULTRApulse Alpha offers a variety of scan densities, allowing provider maximal control
The thermal relaxation time (TRT) of tissue is about 0.8 ms.. We must deliver the CO2 laser necessary 5 J/cm2 in at most, a 0.8 ms pulse, preferably less, if we expect to minimize excess injury to the underlying tissue.
ULTRApulse Alpha’s high-peak power drives shorter pulses to penetrate deeper, with minimal collateral damage. This reduces patient discomfort and downtime
Only with pulse stacking
Caution
Lower power lasers allow heat dissipation and extended collateral thermal damage that takes longer to heal
Deepest penetration, with less energy needed to reach the same ablation depth
Less residual heat
Less risks and side effects
Better wound healing
Ablation rate faster than thermal relaxation time
Others even require pulse stacking or use of additional technologies

Alpha Air Brush - Take your resurfacing skills to the next level
• The unique CPG scanner supports a wide range of modalities, provides powerful pulses over a large spot size, with a short time-off between pulses
• With a collimated beam for full accuracy from almost any distance from the skin, the CPG allows you to use a “painting” method to cover a large area faster than ever before
• Alpha Air Brush shortens treatment duration without compromising efficiency, enabling you to perform a full facial resurfacing in less than 15 minutes, while providing your patient with the results they desire
CoolScan™ - non-sequential scan pattern, reducing pain, patient discomfort and downtime, with either CPG or DeepFX
BrushFX™ - offering inhomogeneous scan pattern, further reducing potential treatment demarcations
Presets and automations tailored by professionals straight into the GUI - assisting you in getting better results, while maintaining a safe treatment
QR codes referring to best practice clinical recommendations, helping you every pulse of the way
Usability features making your life easier - smoke evacuator and purge air pump control from the device, easy aiming beam adjustment, counterbalanced articulated arm, and more!

ULTRApulse Alpha technology is supported by many peer reviewed articles, portraying its efficiency in treating a variety of indications
Himza, et al., 2021 | "This systematic review suggests ablative laser use for skin resurfacing is a safe and effective modality to treat a range of pathologies... these results suggest that ablative lasers are a superior, safe, and effective modality to treat damaged skin".
Seago, et al., 2020 | "Lasers are a first-line therapy in the management of traumatic scars and contractures, and patients without access to these treatments may not be receiving the best available care after injury".
Miletta, et al., 2019 | "Fractional ablative laser treatment provides significant, sustained improvement of elasticity, thickness, appearance, and symptoms of mature hypertrophic burn scars".
And dozens more in the ULTRApulse Alpha Clinical Compendium
After comparing all fractional-ablative devices, it turns out that the short pulse delivered by ULTRApulse Alpha creates a deep-clean wound, while other devices are less powerful and might deliver more complications.
Lumenis does such a great job, and the new ULTRApulse Alpha is an amazing device that has upped the game with many new features.
Jill S. Waibel, MDThe original UltraPulse platform was so effective, but the Alpha seriously ups the aesthetic laser game. There’s a lot of innovative science that went into this device. It takes you into a ‘Star Wars’ kind of technology, in which you achieve better patient results with far less pain.
While the platform maximizes safety in so many ways, it is also powerful. It consistently fires in a way that is safe for the skin.

CO2 lasers are intended solely for use by professionals trained in the use of the Carbon Dioxide laser (10.6 μm) wavelength. Incorrect treatment settings or misuse of the technology can present risk of serious injury to patient and operating personnel. Risks that may be associated with any CO2 laser procedure may include change of pigmentation, infection, erythema, skin induration or scarring.
Read and understand the CO2 systems and accessories operator manuals for a complete list of intended use, contraindications, and risks.
The use of Lumenis® CO2 laser is contraindicated where a patient has taken Accutane (Isotretinoin) within the past 6-12 months, has a history of keloid formation and demonstrate excessive or unusually prolonged erythema.
