Vážení sportovní přátelé,
The another cycling season is here and the Course de la Paix U23 with it. I am happy that Sazka has again joined in the preparations of this prestigious multiple-stage bicycle race as its general partner. In the short period from its renewal in 2013, the Peace Race has become an event known for launching the career of many prominent names in cycling. Competitors who succeed in the Jeseníky Mountains later regularly show up in the WorldTour teams. The event is also part of the UCI Nations’ Cup, a series of the most prestigious races in this age category. As in the previous years, competitors wear their national jerseys to foster healthy competition among the teams. Twenty-one national teams have confirmed their participation, which promises to deliver a great show for the spectators. This year, the planned routes will be slightly modified. The initial 3.5-kilometre prologue will begin at Masaryk Square in the town of Jeseník. The race newly includes the best climber contests taking place at Přemyslovské mountain saddle and at a two-kilometre climb to Maršíkov hill preceding the longest 11-kilometre climb to Skřítek.
Další cyklistická sezóna je tu a s ní také etapový Závod Míru U23. Jsem velmi rád, že se Sazka jako generální partner zapojila do příprav prestižního etapového závodu, jakým Závod Míru bezpochyby je. Za krátkou dobu od svého obnovení v roce 2013 si stihl vybudovat renomé akce, která rodí budoucí hvězdy. Ten, kdo uspěje v Jeseníkách, se později pravidelně objevuje i v týmech WorldTour. Rovněž je tato akce zařazena do Poháru národů, seriálu nejprestižnějších závodů této věkové kategorie. Závod se jako obvykle také letos jede v národních dresech, což povzbuzuje zdravou týmovou rivalitu. Máme potvrzených jednadvacet národních týmů, takže je jisté, že půjde i divácky o skvělou podívanou. Letos budou mírně obměněné trasy. Úvodní prolog na 3,4 kilometru bude startovat na Masarykově náměstí v Jeseníku. Nově má závod vrchařskou prémii na Přemyslovském sedle a dvoukilometrový kopec v Maršíkově před nájezdem na nejdelší jedenáctikilometrové stoupání na Skřítek.
