Sacred Heart of The Burren

Icon of Burren Spring Gentian III “From an ancient flower a new sign springs forth Bon Secours.” GENTIAN Of the many names Ceadharlach Bealtaine Gentiana Verna Gentianaceae Spring Gentian Icon of Burren Spring Gentian. Gentian you were first identified in 1979 near Bishop’s Quarter in Burren. Found on a grassy area of Limestone near sand dunes and rocky pastures grazed by cattle named Belted Galloway or Belties. A pure bright solitary flower shone up Gentian borne on upright Green stems Trumpet in shape Oval like a rosette. As each five petal tubes in Spring Unfurl and spread revealing a tiny White throat that sings out its solitary beauty in vocabulary of hue Icon of Burren Gentian Blue Deep Blue of Azure Aquamarine, Berl, Bice, Blue Violet, Blueberry, Cyan, Cerulean, Ice Blue, Icon of Burren Copenhagen Blue Electric, Gentian Blue Gentian.
