Maria Callas (For Andrea Bocelli) Danced on stage of La Scala Milan becomes carpet of soft colourful rose petals In preparation for voice of an angel Maria Callas Singing out Schubert’s “Ave Maria” The rose without the thorn Un Forgotten rose Wild rose. Where a blizzard of gentle coloured roses That would bring internal warmth to the soul Raining down in shower of petals Saint Theresa lookalike Or tossing whole bouquets at stage Toss stem first to help propel like angel wings of Dove flying To land on Maria Callas head or lap creating crown of roses In awe awe awe. Or else shred programme of La Traviata into paper confetti origami gold Drop them in Gold light bits shining like leaves falling gentle from autumn hazel Until the opera singer is surrounded in rose petals & confetti origami In loud applaud & creating visual origami confetti feast Hue Alizarin Crimson, Carmine & Flake White in shapes of roses & doves stars & butterfly’s as thanks For voice of an angel Maria Callas Singing out in La Scala Milan Schubert’s Ave Maria.
