SYRACUSE SALT SPRINGS Syracuse Salt Springs was a design proposal for the city of Syracuse that attempted to activate the desolate salt swamps on the edges of Onondaga Lake. The purpose of the project was to create a public community gathering space that exposed users to historical references of the Syracuse salt industry.

SYRACUSE

U N I V E R S I TY O F F L O R E N C E Syracuse University of Florence was a campus design proposal I created while studying in Florence, Italy that constructed an inclusive public sphere for education to integrate with the existing urban fabric.

The project was an intervention that engaged two aspects of the city: the waterfront and the city edge.

SUSTAINABLE SUPERSTORE The Sustainable Superstore was a proposal for a department store renovation project in New York City. The project focused on promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle by creating user experiences that demonstrate different strategies of sustainability. The premise of the project also required that the superstore be zero-net energy.

This project focused on keeping as much of the existing building as possible. We focused our design efforts on the interior spaces and kept the perimeter of the building unchaged.

PLAY PERCH DESIGN BUILD The Play Perch Design Build was a student organized project for Jowonio Preschool in Syracuse, New York. Jowonio is an alternative school that accepts a wide range of children, including the physically disabled. The purpose of this project was to create an outdoor classroom that would be accessible for all of the students to explore.

AARRIS ATEPA ARCHITECTS (In association with Diller Scofidio + Renfro and FXFOWLE)

COLUMBIA BUSINESS SCHOOL Columbia Business School is a project for Columbia University’s new Manhattanville campus in West Harlem, New York. Aarris Atepa Architects was specifically hired to design three rooms in the building: the multi-function, private dinning and dedicated dinning rooms. My contributions to the project were the production of renderings, material palette perspectives, digital models and physical mock-up models that investigated building construction methods.
