I am a Licensed Architect in the State of Colorado with +9 years of experience in a myraid of positions, projects types, and responsibilities. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, I earned my Bachelor of Science & Masters Degree from Kent State University in 2015 & 2017 respectively.
Ranging from Student Intern to AHJ, working Critical Access Hospitals to Affordable Housing, acting as a Project Manager and design specialist, I have a breadth of experience that is unmatched by most.
I enjoy a healthy work-life balance spending every second I can with my pup Karma, playing billiards, rock climbing, snowboarding, and fixing up my Historic Five-Points townhome.

This final undergraduate studio was a cross studio partner competition completed with Matthew Fisher. Receiving 5th place out of 80 unique projects across 4 separate sites.
Emphasis on Integrated Design principles including passive, active, mechanical, structural, and plumbing systems drove the project as we developed strategies with local consultants. Earning a perfect score on the Mechanical, Structural, and Plumbing calculations with lowest overall rating, this project reflects ideals found in LEED and the Living Building Challenge.
Based in the Cultural Arts District on the corner of 7th St. and Penn Ave., this mixed use high rise provides 6 prime leasable retail spaces with corporate offices above.
At the core sits the only grocery store in downtown; surrounded by highways this provides the area with a safe and walkable area that aims to keep occupants downtown for longer utilizing its proximity to the Convention Center & PNC Park. Offices above provide space for the University of Pittsburgh’s medical offices and Duquense University’s Environmental Engineer programs to provide a synergetic partnership resembled in the building form.

Investigating the polemic of tessellate geometries and recursive growth algorithms to inform massing, volumetric, building systems, and mass customization. To develop a tessellated, prefabricated mid-rise that explores the design potentials of mass custom 2D Neo-MAT building in the contemporary city.
On the corner of Euclid Ave. and E55th St. in Midtown Cleveland, the hand picked site is at the heart of the Health Tech Corridor; a 1.6 acre area spanning from the center of the Cleveland Central Business District, through Cleveland State’s University Circle, ending at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus.
A central hub for innovation due to the immense Health, Technology, and educational capital that Cleveland’s hospitals and Universities provide, the Heath Tech Corridor has emerged as the regions prime location for business development and synergetic partnerships at 55CoWeRk.

This 10 week studio explored the potentials of fabricated and projected composite surfaces to simulate architectural innovation.

Students mobilized multiple skills and resources for the iterative development of one major design project while exploring a broad spectrum of techniques, methodologies, and materials.

PROJECTION | 60sec deconstructing the process of layering

Investigating the potentials of diverse material and environmental effects while scrutinizing the guiding myths of modern architecture. Opportunistic design. This approach emphasizes the parallel importance of thinking critically and creatively while developing technical design skills.

Contrast of iridescent and opalescent sides create a reliance between surface and buried textures hidden by the finish product

Opacity transitions explore the relationships of cross layer compositional elements that create shadow through and on layers.

The fight between panel and projection has become more evident; backlighting is used to reject textured changes of projected elements.

Variations in tone and shadow emphasize a textured resolution through projection mapping that explores material resilience.

The submission into Cleveland’s 2016 Ingenuity Festival was a joint project with Christopher Persons and Adam Pretenjak. Utilizing an approved grant during a standard semester in graduate school, we were able to merge our Disruptive Technologies course with the initiatives of Ingenuity Fest.
An investigation into what the traditional “wall” of Architecture can become resulted in a responsive structure that utilized the implementation of simple technology and “dumb” sensors through Arduino based computations. With a user inside the space, though no apertures exist, are able to determine where someone is on the outside. Site Context played a major role, located directly under the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, pedestrian foot traffic preferred to move through or interact with the project rather than pass it by. The outside walls are chalkboards which allowed the community to decorate and interact on a personal level. Developments by the users created unique ways to interact and experience the project beyond what we had previously expected.
