Having been here so long it’s difficult to single out one favourite memory. Maybe it’s just making great friends or the x-factor concerts, school plays, GCSE results day & being head girl.

Be doing something related to design, or journalism, broadcasting or event organisation.

So long, farewell … Make the most of all the opportunities you have here. It may be a cliché, but school days do fly by. Work hard. Enjoy.

Alex Hayes My favourite memory is ...

Miranda’s constant, awesome singing and beating Laurence in skill school when he cried!

Dominic Thomas-James My favourite memory is ...

Debating in the school ESU in Westminster, beating St Clare’s in football, carol singing around the classrooms & playing guitar in the staff band. All great memories!

Be a successful Barrister and pursuing, or achieving, my ambition to own a vineyard in France.

Good luck to all my friends as we embark upon University. Be happy and successful in all that you do. Keep in touch!

Zahra Ali My favourite memory is ...

Games lessons in the mud, Ben dribbling, Tom Werner punching Ryan, “Twice a day”, all the ski trips, singing animal farm with Miss East, winning a netball cup, losing a netball game 340, Emergency assemblies, Morgan’s toe coming out her shoe, screaming songs in year 7 while everyone looked at us weird.

In 10 years time I will ...

Be married to an Irish man, living in Ireland with Irish children.

My final message...

I will always be BROWN.

Eric Antunes My favourite memory is ...

The ski trip, Big up the history lessons with ICE P, maths with the B, gotta mention German & French cos they have a special place in my heart. JD and his donut love. Big up the Tuesdays, the burgers and squash and finally the chalice served me well.

In 10 years time I will ...

Be playing football for England, getting some first class mullah and taking the Mushu world by storm.

My final message...

A very old wise man once told me, Eric, Eric you must do your history; all I know is he’s called ICE P. Goodbye Ffynone!

Ruby Bender My favourite memory is ...

Every single games & PE lesson. Mrs Reynolds the love of my life, Mr Ingham and his mooses, water fights, mud fights, food fights, bitch fights with Tom W & Ryan, wedgies and of course rubbing chilli on an annoying person’s school uniform in the changing rooms during games.

In 10 years time I will ...

… so long as I’m happy I really don’t care.

My final message...

Don’t doubt yourself, always have fun in everything you do and NEVER under any circumstances eat anything Jordan gives you.



Aqil Bhat My favourite memory is ...

Being locked in Tesco, in Rhys’s freezer for the first term in year 9 and Jacuzzi-ing at the Young Consumers of the Year.

In 10 years time I will ...

Hopefully be a Stockbroker, living in London with lots of fast cars, a penthouse apartment with a 1000” TV (after studying at LSE

My final message...

Thank you to everyone in my year for being friendly (to my face at least). Good luck with your lives, try not to forget me (although you probably will). Remember to meet in 10 years, in Mr Phillips’ room, 2nd Apr 2019

My time at Ffynone has been amazing, I’ll never forget it. The memories will live long. Everything has been great.

Be a journalist hopefully, famed for his heartwarming accounts of life and slowly travelling on the road to becoming Prime Minister.

Camilla Chellew My favourite memory is ...

Fabulous!! Supposed hair cutting during DT. Assembly by Mr Jones (latin) likening me to medusa. GCSE dance...and those chips! Reading the ‘thank you’ card in Business lessons and enjoying the blu-tac snails in Maths!

In 10 years time I will ...

(The dream): Be embracing the cover of OK! Magazine, (the reality): be a successful barrister, blissfully happy and still in touch with the amazing people I have met at Ffynone.

My final message...

To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe. “Swing from the chandeliers...Be fabulous...and always, use your brain!!!”

Sara Davies My favourite memory is ...

When it snowed in February and we saw it all fall through the windows. The next day we stayed home and played in it. Two days later we went home early. That has never happened to me before. I also like the Billy Elliot trip in Yr 7

In 10 years time I will ...

Be a book illustrator maybe and I would like to tour the world and visit new places all the time.

My final message...

Thank you for welcoming me and being so friendly. I have had a wonderful time in the past five years and I will not forget anyone I have met



Amber Demirhisar My favourite memory is ...

Pretending with Emma to sleep in Geog lessons (with Mrs Rees). Sneaking crisps out of my pocket in English. Being bullied with my Ginger hair (thanks Eric!). Printing out mysterious love letters from ‘the printer’ in IT.

In 10 years time I will ...

Still be in good old Ffynone, pregnant, divorced five times and resitting my GCSEs!

My final message...

Gonna miss the ‘AwesomeFoursome’. RIP Eric, Laurence & Emma. ‘May the sun shine, all day long, everything go right and nothing go wrong. May those you love bring love back to you and may all the wishes you wish come true. LOL.

Jordan Derbyshire My favourite memory is ...

Have a big stake in the stock market and be able to travel the world.

Do coursework early and always chew gum in Mr Phillips’ vicinity.

Tim Eales My favourite memory is ...

Ski trip 2008 was amazing. Me and Ryan having a toilet water fight and getting Stevie soaked in his Uplands youth top. He stank!

In 10 years time I will ...

Hopefully be a successful actor starring in a movie or television series and enjoying a young and free lifestyle.

I came, I gelled, I conquered.

Samantha Grove My favourite memory is ...

The ski trip 2007.While Beth was looking in her suitcase, I pushed her down and zipped her head in. Mr B came along and saw a walking suitcase head - he looked so confused!

In 10 years time I will ...

Have left University and have a job as a biology or maths teacher, probably near York :-)

My final message...

I want to say goodbye to all those leaving, especially my chemistry buddy James Pang! Good luck for the future and keep in touch.



Joe Hardwidge My favourite memory is ...

On a school trip to Bishop Wood we went down to the sea to look in the rock pools. Alex called me and I ran straight into a pool!

Be a very successful, retired Billionaire, living in the Uplands.

To everyone in year 10; Do your coursework as soon as possible - don’t leave it until the last minute!

Tom Jenkins My favourite memory is ...

The ski trip to Italy in year 7 where I couldn’t stand on skis and forgot the number of times we lost the room key.

Somewhere in the world as a successful architect, living in the house I designed, with all mod cons.

Bethan Jones My favourite memory is ...

Our amazing netball game when we lost 34nil… Our snowboarding instructors Georges and Alex and of course all the ski trips! Stealing Haribo from Emma, Sarah and Morgan’s room on the last ski trip and they never noticed—it was us!

In 10 years time I will ...

Be travelling the world hopefully—if I have the money to.

I’m gonna miss all the good memories from Ffynone and I hope we will all stay in touch too!

Amelia Kidwell My favourite memory is ...

Me, Ruby & Zahra entertaining ourselves in church looking for innuendos in hymn books. ‘Lord, I love you, you’ve touched me inside and out’ HA HA.

In 10 years time I will ...

Have done A-levels, taken a gap year in France working as an Au Pair, studied psychology/ psychotherapy at Uni and will be a successful art therapist. Hmmm...

My final message...

I’ll miss everyone. And the memories; ski trips, x -factors, water fights and plays. Love you all. xx



Jessica Letheren My favourite memory is ...

Ronald McDonald! Year 8 maths with Mrs Betti Williams; “if you’re happy and you know it clap your hands”. Swimming lessons, rounders, walking round school with a tiara on my head.

Be successful and confident in my career whilst finding the time to visit Amber in rehab every Friday at 3pm.

Joshua Light My favourite memory is ...

Falling down a sand dune in Kenfig nature reserve into loads of stinging nettles and having Laurence Merrigan coming to help me!

Be running my own drama school and/or watching Max Clewes do the Milkshake dance on MTV.

Do your coursework on time!! Be safe, be seen and … oops, I forgot.

Nicholas Melia My favourite memory is ...

My regular transformations into Biccie McVitite in the yard, Young Consumer’s trip (the Jacuzzi, pretending I was two years younger than I really was) and lunch breaks in school competitions.

In 10 years time I will ...

Be avoiding school reunions at all costs.

Back in September—cue cheesy music!

Laurence Merrigan My favourite memory is ...

When Joe ran down towards the beach in a coat too big for him and falling face first in a rockpool. Maths lessons with Mrs Betty Williams.

In 10 years time I will ...

Be living on the beach in Hawaii with my stick (surfboard) and lots of local (women) models.

My final message...

There are 40,000 toilet related deaths a year … watch out!



Jocasta Napier My favourite memory is ...

All the ski trips and our snow board instructors Georges and Alex! Stealing Haribo from Emma P, Sarah and Morgan’s room ha ha!

In 10 years time I will ...

Visiting Amber in rehab. I shall have lots and lots of money - doing what, I don’t know.

My final message...

I will miss all the good times in Ffynone and hope we all stay in touch!

Sarah Nawell My favourite memory is ...

Ski trips, Room 236. Heartless, Tripod, music lessons, BUS, Chico and Len, netball game, Summer, disco showers, OBV.

Be living in London, married with a well paid job and still in touch with everyone here.

Emma Norman My favourite memory is ...

Pretending to sleep in year 7 Geography with Amber. Sneaking crisps out of Amber’s pocket. Trying to answer in French with my mouth full. Yr 8 maths with Betti, Yr9 maths with Mr B. The AWESOME FOURSOME (thanks to Eric, Amber and Laurence). Mysterious love letters from ‘the printer’ in IT.

Be in a fulfilling job, visiting Amber in rehab every Friday at 3 pm.

Patrick O’Brian My favourite memory is ...

When Miss Davies asked me for my coursework and I waved my memory stick and she screamed at me ‘Get out now!’ She got really annoyed and, looking back, it was very funny.

In 10 years time I will ...

Be a full-time Engineer and hopefully have my own business offering plumbing, gas-fitting and electrical skills. I will then earn good money and become a multi-millionaire.

My final message...

It has been amazing in Ffynone, I have really enjoyed my time here and I will miss all my friends and teachers. Best of luck to you all.



James Pang My favourite memory is ...

I don’t remember much of Ffynone House School - my favourite would be writing this! Biology after school lessons were great though.

In 10 years time I will ...

Be a successful Psychologist somewhere outside Wales. If you are ‘mentally challenged’ and need some help, come see me! (I’ll charge you double because you’re from Ffynone).

My final message...

It’s been nice getting to know everyone. Hopefully all will turn out as planned. Got to go now and finish my ICT coursework!

Sophie Paulus My favourite memory is ...

Drama lessons in Year 7 with Sarah and Amelia. Numerous ski trip disasters and netball 34:0. Maths lessons with Dr James! Always remember to ‘beef it up’.

Be doing something I enjoy and hopefully be married. Probably still living down here.

Amanda Slattery My favourite memory is ...

Every day in Ffynone good day or bad. The girls helped to get me through each time. Sing songs and talkies with the girls. I love you!

Be making the big bucks, living somewhere hot with tonnes of puppies! Don’t know how I’ll get there so I hope for a lucky break. Dream big and you’ll make it huge!

My final message...

You know who your true friends are through school. Arguments are pointless but make your friendship stronger. Enjoy French - it gets hard fromYr10. If you think Art GCSE is a good idea, and you’re no Andy Warhol, think again!

I will have studied Physics in Uni and then invented something ground breaking and ‘interesting’ which makes my life easier.

Resting your head in Biology isn’t as harmless as it first appears!

Rhys Thomas My favourite memory is ...

Trying to eat a whole pear in one bite - oh the laughs! German coursework and the magical hours spent with Mr Philip Chiliot.

Be a successful business tycoon - but in reality living off benefit fraud.

Now, I think, is as good a time as any, to tell you that I have finally come out of the closet.



Lewis Thomas My favourite memory is ...

The awesome ski trips I went on for five years, especially the first year when snowboarding with the sixth formers. Also the ultimate food fight in the IT room which caused havoc.

Be an RAF jet fighter pilot, up, up and away— the skies have no limit.

My final message...

Business and IT coursework = a battle fought and won. Life is a journey; learn from yesterday, live for today and hope for tomorrow. Never, never give up!

My final message...

Ffynone has been host to a number of good, bad, funny and tragic memories - most of these I’ve already forgotten. Although I wonder if I’d recognise someone’s face after 10 years, I’ll just have to wait and see.


Morgan Williams My favourite memory is ...

The food fight in the old IT room. Herr Trimmel. Water fights. All the ski trips. Drama. Mr Ingham. Maths with Betty. Werner giving Ryan a black eye - there’s so many!!

Be an amazing architect living in a house built by myself and mega wealthy because of all my property! Or, I’ll be an outstanding photographer for Vogue.

All the amazing ski trips & watching Amelia fall off the chair lift. Playing intense netball and losing 34—0. The trip to Cornwall and abseiling with Miss Davies. Hiding under the tables instead of going to French!
