THE POWER OF THE HEBREW LETTERS
The Book of Creation, the first book of the Kabbalah, points out that, first of all, God created the letters: “Twenty-two foundation letters: He engraved them, He carved them, He permuted them, He weighed them, He transformed them, and with them, He depicted all that was formed and all that would be formed.”
(Sefer Yetzira – Book of Creation – 2:2).Since ancient times, sages and mystics have taught that the Hebrew letters are not an ordinary means of expression, but rather, each one, as a tool for the creation of the world, contains energy and divine revelation.

Therefore, it is said that the Hebrew letters are used to look further into the inner development of an individual and are even recommended for meditation purposes.
Some years ago, I enrolled in an intensive course called, “The Hebrew letters dance of life”, with a goal to study, analyze and meditate on the subject of each letter, and to write what each letter made us feel during the
session. That is how the idea to materialize what I had seen in the unconscious emerged, to understand the esoteric meanings of the letters, and for me to express it at an artistic level. To materialize this idea, I studied, meditated again with each one of the letters, and by combining digital art whit photography I was able to create the paintings that were already dancing in my mind. These pictorial works allude to intangible concepts such as justice and righteousness, charity and sacrifice, the diversity of opposites, forms of healing, the search for truth and the mystery of life.
I finished the photo pictorial part of the project, and completed twenty-two artistic paintings, representing every letter. Then, the idea to include them in a book where I could further expand on the explanation of each letter was born: the meaning of its name, its numerical value and shape, as well as its nature during meditation and the way it manifests in our daily lives.
