In 1991, Richard Strauss, CEO and founder of MIA Shoes, was inspired by the birth of his daughter Sydney to create a trend driven line of shoes for girls. Not satisfied with the styles and quality that were being offered in girls’ footwear, the MIA KIDS label was a natural progression for the already established company.

MIA Shoes’ children labels focus on fashion-forward, kid-appropriate footwear for girls. Many of the styles are taken directly from the women’s line to perpetuate the “Mommy and Me” concept which helped launch the brand back in the early nineties.
