WINTER FAVOURITES

If you’re looking for the perfect gift for someone id have to recommend my staple makeup favourite: a Dior eyeshadow palette, in particular 006 Bronze neautrals.

My favourite accessory to elevate an outfit instantly is a belt. Specifically a thin brown leather belt. My favourite brands to buy good quality leather belts are: Ralph Lauren, Hermes & Massimo Dutti.

What are we wearing this

Winter?

I hope everyone is wearing what they have in their previous winter wardrobe as consumerism is at an all time high right now.. however investing in pieces that will last you twenty winters is a must.

An obvious winter must have that will last you a minimum of twenty years is a good quality winter coat. You can never go wrong with a trench coat or a winter jacket. Investing in high-end materials is also a bonus when it comes to the trench coat/jacket Only buy if its 100% cotton and then look for wool, merino wool, cashmere etc. This is key for keeping you warm! A few brands that sell the perfect trench coat are: Reiss, Laura Ashley (vintage), & other stories, Ralph Lauren.

Pairing your staple winter jacket completes any winter outfit whether its a mini skirt with knee high boots or flared jeans and a cashmere jumper.

Jacket: John Galliano
Skirt: Princess polly

what’s next?

The house of Chanel has been left without a creative director since June 2024 beacuse of Virginie Viard sudden departure of the position. This has created a fashion wave of accumulated rumors about who will end up with arguably the most coveted job in the fashion industry.

Could the next creative director be Matthieu Blazy? According to sources, Bottega Veneta (whom Blaze is the current creative director of) has already initiated a search for Blazy’s successor, reaching out to second-in-command talents, as is the custom of brand parent Kering, which also controls Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and McQueen. It is understood Chanel has cast a wide net, interviewing the likes of Pieter Mulier, Pierpaolo Piccioli, Jeremy Scott and Marc Jacobs, sources told WWD.

Contacted by WWD on Friday, a Chanel spokeswoman said a new creative organization would be announced “in due course” and declined further comment. Blazy worked as design director for the men's and women's collections at Calvin Klein from 2016 to 2019, as part of Raf Simons' team in New York.

Before Calvin Klein, Blazy, a French and Belgian national, worked in Celine's studio under then-creative director Phoebe Philo, rising to senior designer in 2014, and for four years at Maison Margiela, ultimately overseeing the couture label Artisanal. Chanel Fashion has been without a creative head since the unexpected retirement of Virginie Viard in June after more than three decades at the leadership, and five since Karl Lagerfeld's death in February 2019. Chanel's spring 2025 collection was created by an internal team.

MAD ABOUT THAT BAG

The 30 Montaigne Dea pouch is a timeless and sophisticated accessory. Crafted in blue Toile de Jouy Reverse jacquard, it revisits the iconic House motif with a play on reversed colours. Accented by the CD signature on the front, the design reveals a spacious interior compartment to hold all the essentials. Its structured silhouette allows the pouch to be carried as a clutch or slipped into a Dior Book Tote.
