HSG Test cost in Bangalore Meaning Hysterosalpingography (HSG) also known as uterosalpingography is an X-ray performed in the lower abdomen area to examine the condition of the uterus and fallopian tubes. How is HSG done?

There are two ways of inserting the dye into the crvix. One method is using an instrument called cannula and it is inserted into the cervix. Other method is to use a thin plastic tube and passed into the cervical opening. The tube opening has a balloon inflated which keeps the plastic tube in place in the uterus.

Once the fluid is inserted into the cervix, an X-ray is taken through different positions so as to get every angle for better understanding. Once the images are taken, the speculum and cannula is removed.
