APHOA minutes
The approved APHOA minutes are available upon request in the Park Manager’s office. The financials for the park are there as well. When you see the APHOA Minutes in the Newsletter or on the Alimur FB community they are UNOFFICIAL and subject to revision. They are posted as a courtesy in order to keep everyone informed. The minutes from the previous month are always approved at the next meeting.
We welcome all residents to our monthly meetings. Beginning on May 1st, 2025 they will take place at the clubhouse on the first Tuesday of every month, at 5 PM.
Red Flag Notification Service Sign Up
The Red Flag notification service will advise of a planned outage in the park. It can send messages to your phone, send you an email or send a call to a land line. It will do any one of these or all three. Please sign up for this important service. There is information later in this newsletter with instructions, or you can stop by the office. Our park manager will help you sign up. It’s easy! NOTE! The Red Flag service CANNOT send notice of an unplanned outage. But it will send out a notice as soon as the situation has been assessed.
Volunteers Always Needed!
If you have the time to help, or an idea about what might be done, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Rickie Crane. That’s me! All projects must be discussed with me before any work is done. It is not allowed for folks to do work on common areas without permission! The volunteer jobs are unpaid, like being on the Board. The park will pay for any necessary supplies required, after approval. Rebecca Cope is volunteering to translate the minutes to Spanish for us. Current distributors of the monthly Newsletter:
Rebecca and James
Lori
Laura
Many thanks to all of our volunteers!!
Anyone who is interested in volunteering please contact me. Text or call me at (831) 479-4921. Please identify yourself if you text. Name and Spc #.
Bulletin Board for Park Residents with a Business or Service
We have a listing of services available from folks who live in the park in this very newsletter. Handy folks, artists, computer services, what have you. So if you need some work done, why not hire your neighbor? The page with the listing is later in the newsletter.
Reminders to all the residents:
Don’t let your pet out without you and a leash.
Don’t let your pet use your neighbor’s yard as a bathroom. Please slow down. There are children and pets in the park.

ALIMUR PARK HOMEOWNER ASSOCIATION
Meeting Minutes
Board of Directors General Meeting Minutes 2025-09-02 / 5:00 pm / Clubhouse
Board Members Present: Timothy Norton, Rickie Crane, Dana Schlagheck, Mike Pisano, Eric Kaufman
In Attendance:
Closed Session: none
Regular Meeting Opened: 5 PM
Roll call Timothy Norton, Rickie Crane, Dana Schlagheck, Mike Pisano, Eric Kaufman
Treasurer Report $458k in emergency fund
Approve Minutes from Last General Meeting:
Motion: Timothy Norton
Second: Rickie Crane Ayes/Opposed: 5 Ayes, 0 Noes
New Business :
1) Timothy’s road report.
Timothy walked the park. The roads are not great, but we did do insurance work this year, and no new work was recommended for this year.
2) Increase membership sale price?
Eric was concerned the 95k price was not being applied to the membership sales, and there were two exceptions approved in ‘24 and ‘25. Eric has agreed to stay in communication with Evans regarding membership sales.
3) Update in planned sewer work.
We have not had an update on the sewer work needed from the laundry room to space 19. We have one bid and are waiting on others, but no news. I spoke with Adam and we will get an update soon.
Old Business:
1) Line Painting in the Park
As with the sewer bids, we are stopped here with regard to bids…no new bids have been received, nor any update at all, as with the sewer work, Timothy will be trying to get through this roadblock.
2) Gate / Hole in the Fence
The work being done to get us permanent access to Safeways road is currently being held up by Safeway. They are stonewalling us. We are currently considering proceeding without them.
3) Area behind Pool
Turning the area behind the pool into an additional home space is fairly complicated. It involved adding sewer and water, gas and electric, as well as getting permitting from HDC and etc. The cost of all the work would likely be offset by the new membership sale, leaving the monthly rent. It was decided the project was too expensive and complicated. So, it’s on hold for now. Using the space behind the pool to build storage spaces is still being considered.
4) Money Market - form 199
Dana tells us the CPA is processing the form 199s needed for our friends at the Franchise Tax Board. This form was not filed by our previous CPA, for a number of years, and the FTB has made us an “inactive” non-profit, which causes us minor issues.

Actas de la Reunión
Actas de la Junta Directiva de la Asamblea General
2025-09-02 / 17:00 / Casa Club
Miembros presentes: Timothy Norton, Rickie Crane, Dana Schlagheck, Mike Pisano, Eric Kaufman
Asistentes:
Sesión a puerta cerrada: ninguna
Inicio de la Reunión Ordinaria: 17:00
Lista: Timothy Norton, Rickie Crane, Dana Schlagheck, Mike Pisano, Eric Kaufman
Informe del Tesorero: $458,000 en fondo de emergencia
Aprobación del Acta de la Última Asamblea General:
Moción: Timothy Norton. Secundada: Rickie Crane
Secretario interino

QUOTES
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man and woman, it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow.
Edward Sandford Martin, essayist, founder o fhte "Harvard Lampoon"
So once in every year we throng, Upon a day apart, To praise the Lord with feast and song, in thankfulness of heart.
Arthur Guiterman in "The First Thanksgiving"
As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.
John Fitzgerald Kennedy, 35th President of the United States
To give thanks in solitude is enough. Thanksgiving has wings and goes where it must go. Your prayer knows much more about it than you do.
Victor Hugo, French poet, novelist
He who thanks but with the lips Thanks but in part. The full, the true Thanksgiving comes from the heart.
J.A. Shedd, second president of Marshall Field & Co.
For each new morning with its light, For rest and shelter of the night, For health and food, for love and friends, We are thankful for everything Thy goodness sends.
Ralph Waldo Emerson American essayist and poet
Thou hast given so much to me, Give one thing more, a grateful heart; Not thankful when it pleases me, As if Thy blessings had spare days, But such a heart whose pulse may be Thy praise.
George Herbert, English poet, priest
On Thanksgiving Day, all over America, families sit down to dinner at the same moment -- halftime.

The Lighter Side Good Advice
A lady pulled into a crowded parking lot and rolled down the car windows to make sure her golden retriever had fresh air. The dog was stretched out on the back seat, and she wanted to make sure the dog stayed there.
She walked backward toward the store, pointing her finger at the dog and saying:
Now you stay .....
Do you hear me?... Stay!... Stay!"
The driver of a nearby car piped up:
"Why don't you just put it in park?'
Got Bugs?
A man who works for a pest control company confirms each appointment by phone the night before his service call.
One night, a man answered the confirmation call. The pest control man said, "Hi, this is A to Z Pest Control. Your wife phoned us."
There was a long silence, and then the customer yelled to his wife: "Honey, it's for you ... someone wants to talk to you about your relatives."
Stop Sign
A woman drove a mini-van filled with a dozen screaming kids through the mall parking lot, looking for a space. Obviously frazzled, she coasted through a stop sign.
"Hey, lady, have you forgotten how to stop?" yelled an irate man.
She rolled down her window and yelled back, "What makes you think these are all mine?"
