ALTA VISTA COMMUNITY
Rancho Cucamonga California February 2026 VOL. 2
I hope there are little cupids all around this beautiful community shooting their little “love arrows ” at you all this month!!
It feels weird to be telling you about the Holiday party that we had back in December but it is so worth it!
It was so much fun for me to see those who came and shared goodies and visited with neighbors! We had a DJ that played more cumbias than holiday music but it had us dancing! The photo booth was a hit too. The face painter was so creative and painted so many faces. The “immersive train ride” was memorable. Santa Clause and his helper brought so much cheer for the little ones and the not so little ones too. Victor Lopez who works with the Ontario FD and is the son of Norma & Diego Lopez who are long time Residents here at AVMHP, donated all the gifts that the kids took home that evening too. Norma and Yolanda wrapped them all up and helped us handing them out that evening. I love how the community comes together and I hope this is just the beginning of many more gatherings to come.
Reminders:
We have issued 396 vehicle stickers as of 1.15.2026. By the time you receive this newsletter, we anticipate that all 206 spaces have turned in their vehicle registration and or you have received a phone call from us to do so. Either way, thank you for your support. Our end goal is to partner together to maintain a safe, supportive, and healthy living environment for all.
This is what we are striving for:
Reduce the unauthorized vehicles parked within our community.
Provide adequate parking to meet the needs of our residents.
Adhere to and consistently enforce parking guidelines as stated in the Rules & Regulations.
Ensure fairness and consistency in the implementation of all parking restrictions
We are currently working on putting into place a policy that will address the current challenges that we have including, multi-generational households leading to higher parking needs, Commercial vehicles requiring accommodation, and longstanding practices not aligned with written policies.
Once we have the policy written and approved, we will let you know and of course, have a meeting to explain the policy and answer any questions and/or concerns.
I want to listen to ALL of your comments because I want to help this community. I am not here to make “my law” I have worked for a lot of communities that have taught me what works and what doesn’t. I also am not closed minded and am willing to listen to ideas. I ask that everyone be cooperative and respectful of others when you are at our meetings.
The last meeting we had, I asked that you write a note or an email with your question/comment or concern, and I didn’t receive any. I did this because of prior meetings that we have had where outburst of comments and questions were yelled out and we had 2 to 3 different people yelling at me. It made it hard for others to hear and almost impossible to get the message out.
I encourage you to email me or text me any question or anything thing you want to say. I want you to feel confident and comfortable to do so.
After the last meeting, several residents told me that they would not attend any meetings because they could not hear or understand the message due to outburst and constant interruptions.
I have had several residents recommend that I have a podium with a set time for each comment. Others have recommended that I try the “kindergarten method” passing the “talking stick”.
If you have any recommendations, feel free to email me.
For now, the next meeting will have a podium and an allotted time. Those who wish to speak, will take a ticket and when your number is called, you can have your time at the podium.
I encourage you to, because talking is healthy. I want to know what you think. I want to better help you all.
ASPHALT REPAIRS
Last month we started with some asphalt repairs throughout the Park. We sealed some cracks and are preparing to slurry all the roadways in the Park.
I have been asked to ask all drivers to be careful turning while driving, as new asphalt will remain tender up to 6 months.
This project will be conducted according to the following safety rules:
During this process we would ask you to please adhere to the following precautionary measures:
• Please proceed slowly throughout this general area.
• Please be mindful of road surface conditions (dust, etc.)
• Please be mindful of trucks and equipment.
• Anticipate minimal traffic delays.
These instructions are being provided to prevent any damages to your vehicle(s) or personal property.
Therefore, it is extremely necessary that you take responsibility to follow them.
P.S
BULKY ITEM PICK-UP
Just a reminder: If you have large items that you need to dispose of, you have the option to call your trash company Burrtec to come and pick up your items. You have up to 3 times per year to call Burrtec.
REMEMBER: PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR ITEMS TO BE PICKED UP OUTSIDE UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED PICK-UP DATE SO WE ARE NOT EXPOSING OUR NEIGHBORS TO OUR BULKY ITEMS.
Another reminder: Trash cans should be brought in and out of sight Friday morning after trash pick-up unless you have a scheduled pick-up.
Thank you.
The number for Burrtec is: (909) 429-4200
RESIDENTS WITH FRUIT TREES
Alta Vista Residents
Those who have fruit trees and would like to donate ripe fruit, citrus, and vegetables to your fellow residents, please contact the office.
We will help you pick and collect your harvest and bring it back to the clubhouse for the community pantry to share with your fellow neighbors.
That way the life created does not go to waste!
Thank you.
Wednesday Night to Thursday night, is the only time your trash cans should be visible, from the street. Any other day, they should be put out of sight. It is so unsightly and brings the appearance of our community down.
If your can was missed for pick up, please contact the office so we can call Burrtec to come out and empty your can.
If you have a pet, clean up after it whether on the homesite they occupy or when being walked around the park community. If you have a yard and you allow your pets to do their “business”, it should be picked up daily. It is so awful to pass by a homesite and smell the pet poop, not to mention the flies!! Please do your part.
Mosquito love water. Look around your homesite for any standing water. Get rid of it as soon as possible so they breed somewhere else.
