ALTA VISTA COMMUNITY
Rancho Cucamonga California April 2026
Happy April!
February and March felt like Spring and our allergies sure felt it!
I hope this Newsletter finds you all in good health
We want to apologize about the late newsletter in February- one reason was that the printer was down and the other reason is that we had a complaint about the content so we retrieved as many as possible When we prepare our article for the newsletter we like to add as much “homegrown” content as possible, we like to write as if we were talking to you face-to-face. We had so much to share with you all and since we had just received photos from our Christmas party, we wanted to share those with you all to see if maybe it would convince you to join next time. That is how I have done it in the past and how I expect to do it moving forward. If you do not want your photo added to our newsletter that is exclusive to Alta Vista, please let us know ahead of time. We will absolutely respect your wishes. The photos we had were beautiful and I am sorry I wasn’t able to share them this time. I will try to make a collage of the photos and hang them in the clubhouse.
VOL. 4
If you would like us to email you a PDF version of our newsletter, (which will not have the vendor ads) please email the office and we would be more than happy to send you one. We also print out each month’s calendar on the bulletin board inside the clubhouse, so feel free to check it out so that you can stay up to date for fun activities planned!
I’d also like to invite you to wish a “happy Birthday/Anniversary, etc..” or share a recipe a riddle or sell/give away something, just submit an email before the 14th of each month, and we will add it for you.
I’d like to thank every single one of you for doing such a great job moving your vehicles for the crack seal job that we had in February. I know it was short notice, but thanks to you and your cooperation it was completed. little by little we can get this park looking beautiful together.
We are planning the Slurry Seal to take place May 18 & 22nd. We will be requiring as much notice as possible to give to you and are requesting the same cooperation from you all as well
Remember: Alta Vista has a Facebook page that you can join; there you can see the latest updates and important notices that you may need to know.
ADRIAN Armendariz –A long-time resident has passed away. For those who knew him and would like to pay tribute to him or pay your respects to the family, you may bring your cards to the office in care of: Martha Prado.
Excess Water on the Street
Now that we sealed all the cracks in the streets and with an upcoming project to slurry seal the asphalt so we have a nice smooth street, we want to do everything we can to make sure it lasts as long as possible. That being said, there are a few things that can cause damages to the asphalt such as: excessive water, soap, and oil. We ask that you please do not clean the street with water, clean your trash cans on the street or wash your vehicles on the street. You may absolutely water and wash your vehicles and trash cans in your driveways since the water, soap and oil will wash down to the drains instead of sitting on the asphalt. Per the Rules and Regulations on page 6 section B (7) it states “…to prevent the waste of water, nuisance to other residents, or damages to roadway, water must not be permitted to overflow into the park’s street…”
Thank you.
4 Side Home Inspections
Month of May
We will be out on the property Inspecting the homesites starting from the front homes. Please make sure your homesites are free from stored household items, debris and weeds. For all those who have did so much work on their homes, we thank you!
Basket Ball court
The back board at the Basketball court has been cracked 3 times in 2 years now due to vandalism. We had ordered a replacement in February that was delivered incomplete and then had to wait for it to be re-delivered. Please advise your household members to respect this area so that we don’t have to continue to close it.
Scheduled Projects in the Park
By now the Roof of the Clubhouse has been installed and the Termite tenting has been completed. We will be repairing the wood rot throughout the clubhouse and pool area and front gazebo and then painting it all.
We will be re-surfacing the pool deck and coping in the pool/spa/wading pool, making it all nice and fresh.
We will be painting the gate around the pool too.
BULKY ITEM PICK-UP
Just a reminder: If you have large items that you need to dispose of, you have the option to call your trash company Burrtec to come and pick up your items. You have up to 3 times per year to call Burrtec.
REMEMBER: PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR ITEMS TO BE PICKED UP OUTSIDE UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED PICK-UP DATE SO WE ARE NOT EXPOSING OUR NEIGHBORS TO OUR BULKY ITEMS.
Another reminder: Trash cans should be brought in and out of sight Friday morning after trash pick-up unless you have a scheduled pick-up.
Thank you.
The number for Burrtec is: (909) 429-4200
ALERT RESPONSE SECURITY PROTECTION
Don’t forget, you have a 24- hour access to contact the Security Guard. Why would you do this?
• They will respond faster than The Sherriff will.
• They have contact with the RC Sherriff Dept.
You can also call them between the hours of 10pm and 5am if:
• You heard someone on or by your home and you want them to secure area.
• You see unwanted people lurking around the neighborhood.
• You are away and your RING notifier has alerted you that someone is at your home.
• If you feel scared to walk to your space from the entrance or from where you parked.
• You saw someone looking into cars. They will write up a report and send it to us immediately. This is very Important for us.
A couple of Homeowners have called to tell me that they “never see the guard”, to that I will quote what he told me:
“My job is not to be seen by Residents, instead, I keep a low profile, keep watch, respond to calls and patrol the perimeter. My routine is different nightly, so not to be expected at the same time or place” .
I can say that the reports and photos we get on a nightly basis are proof for me.
Wednesday Night to Thursday night, is the only time your trash cans should be visible, from the street. Any other day, they should be put out of sight. It is so unsightly and brings the appearance of our community down.
If your can was missed for pick up, please contact the office so we can call Burrtec to come out and empty your can.
If you have a pet, clean up after it whether on the homesite they occupy or when being walked around the park community. If you have a yard and you allow your pets to do their “business”, it should be picked up daily. It is so awful to pass by a homesite and smell the pet poop, not to mention the flies!! Please do your part.
Mosquito love water. Look around your homesite for any standing water. Get rid of it as soon as possible so they breed somewhere else.
