The Statue of Liberty was originally designed by Frederic Bartholdi. The statue itself stands at 151 feet 1 inch, with its pedestal adding another 154 feet. Originally a gift from France, the statue symbolizes freedom and democracy. It also represents hope for the 12 million immigrants who passed through Ellis Island from 1892 to 1954.
The Statue of Liberty arrived in New York Harbor on June 17th, 1885. President Grover Cleveland formally dedicated her on October 28th, 1886.
President Calvin Coolidge declared the Statue of Liberty a national monument on October 15th, 1924.
The Statue of Liberty symbolizes freedom, opportunity, democracy, and hope for a better life, serving as a welcome to immigrants and a representation of the United States' ideals. The statue was a gift from France to commemorate the friendship between the nations and celebrate America's independence and the abolition of slavery. Its various features reinforce these meanings, with the torch representing enlightenment, the broken chains at her feet symbolizing freedom from oppression, and the tablet inscribed with the date of American independence

When a woman wears leather clothing, a man's heart beats faster. His throat gets dry. He gets weak in the knees and begins to think irrationally.
Ever wonder why?
She smells like a new truck!
He was eating lunch at a truck stop when three bikers walked in. The first pushed his cigarette into the old man's pie, then took a seat at the counter.
The second spit in the old man's milk, then took a seat at the counter. The third turned his plate over and then took a seat at the counter.
The old man left without a word. One of the bikers said to the waitress, "Humph, not much of a man is he?"
The waitress replied: "Not much of a truck driver either. He just backed his truck over three motorcycles."
An elderly couple just bought cellphones and learned how to text. She was the romantic type and one afternoon sent him this message.

If you are drinking, send me a sip.
If you are crying, send me your tears. I love you."
The husband texted back to her: "I'm in the bathroom. Please advise."
