MISSION MISSION MISSION Our Mission It’s our mission to ‘enable people to live later life well’. Having such a mission has given us the drive and focus to enable us to become one of the leading providers of care and support for people over 55 years.

Live. Later. Life. Well. Our Vision By 2024, we will have connected our communities, realising our potential as One MHA, to increase the reach, impact and quality of care and support we provide to people in later life.

Our Values Our values, inspired by our Methodist roots, help shape our charity and make it the wonderful place it is to work. We have three values that underpin everything we do, Respect, Nurture & Inspire. Each value plays a key role in helping us to enable people to live later life well. They also • define how we want to be together • make MHA a great place to be • show us that the way we do our job is just as important as what we do

Equality and Diversity at MHA At MHA, we’re dedicated to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in all that we do and our commitment is demonstrated in our principles that are outlined in our EDI Strategy MHA has a dedicated EDI group that works to drive equality, diversity and inclusion throughout the charity. In addition, we have set up EDI network groups for all our people to represent the protected characteristics;

About the Prince’s Trust The Prince’s Trust is the UK’s leading youth charity. The Trust has helped more than 1 million young people since 1976 and supports 100 more each day. We want to help all young people into the right job for them, regardless of whether this is their first job or they’re changing careers. We also have expertise in helping young people who require more support, whether that’s because of their life journey so far, mental health needs, or physical needs.

Do I really need support from The Prince’s Trust? MHA have made the decision to refer all those expressing an interest in the LEAP programme to The Prince’s Trust as part of their application process. You may feel confident in your skills and abilities but there is no harm getting a little extra help to prepare for an opportunity that could be the start of a brilliant career! This will make sure every young person is given the same opportunities and support to increase their chances of success. The Prince’s Trust will also provide further one-to-one mentoring support for every young person for 3 to 6 months, whether successful or not, to help them settle into new roles or find alternative employment/ apprenticeship opportunities should they not be successful in their application.

Our Partnership with MHA The Prince’s Trust is proud of its work in the health and social care sector. Over the last 10 years we’ve trained young people across the country to secure life-changing jobs; we’re now on a mission to help thousands more! To support this work we have partnered with MHA to help all young people aged 18-30 applying for their apprenticeship opportunities and give them to best possible chance of success. We will do this by supporting every young person expressing an interest in the LEAP programme to understand what it is and the variety of roles on offer through a one off “Taster Day”, following on from which those who want to go on to apply will join our 3 day introductory programme where they will get support with: • Completing the formal application process • Building and improving confidence, skills and knowledge of the organisation and sector they will be working in • Preparing for interviews/ assessment centre including carrying out mock interviews to practice the techniques and skills they’ve learnt • Applying for financial support to help with the initial costs of training/employment (if applicable).
