investigation, measurement and intervention. You are asked to define individual/group responses to the idea of personal space and address this idea through
Volume; project must address the 3 dimensionality and the volumetric nature of the body. The design must create an envelope or volume using developable surfaces; a twodimensional solution is not acceptable.

The final object must be fabricated with care and well crafted.

Material choice is up to you. Paper, fabric, ready made objects, plastics, timbers, metals – all materials must be negotiated with your design tutor.

Your design tutor will present to you with an object created with each of these systems in your first tutorial. You are to choose one to analyse, this will be the material system you will work with this semester.
Note: Each tutorial group will have a different sets of objects
