Life Hack - Write Notes on the Washer When you put a load of clothes into your washing machine, use a dry-erase marker to note on the lid which items should not go into the dryer. That way, whoever switches the load from the washing machine to the dryer will know which items to leave out for line drying. The enamel finish on some washing machine lids is similar to a whiteboard, and dry-erase markers can be removed easily with a dry paper towel.

How to get wrinkles out of your laundry with zero effort

Steps to Follow: ● Place your wrinkled clothes in the dryer. ● Place a few ice cubes or a wet washcloth in the dryer with your wrinkled clothes for a few minutes (or for the time you want).

As the ice melts and the water turns to steam, it will remove the wrinkles.

I make “To-Do Lists” for everything from work tasks to vacation planning to Christmas shopping.

Whenever I start to feel overwhelmed by the amount of tasks that I need to complete, I will grab a pen and paper to write a “To-Do List.” I will often do what I have seen called a “Brain Dump” where I will just write down everything that is on my mind as needing to get done. Once I have everything listed in one place, I can then separate that list into smaller lists based on category and priority.

Sometimes if it is work-related I will email myself the list and then “reply” with highlighting added to the tasks that have been completed. Google Docs with the checkboxes are also great to virtual lists!

Vicks VapoRub Ice Cubes Just in time for the winter months try making VapoRub Ice Cubes: ● ● ● ●

Mix together 1 liter of boiling water with 2 tablespoons of Vicks Vapour Rub. Stir until combined Pour into your favorite ice cube tray that you don’t actually use for ice Freeze overnight

Put one in the bottom of a nice warm shower and they will steam up giving relief from clogged noses and ears.

Habit stacking- forming a new habit by pairing it up with a habit you already have Examples: I wanted to listen to more podcasts. I already had the habit of walking or jogging. Now, I listen to my podcasts on my runs.

I wanted to eat more fruit. I was in the habit of grabbing a snack from my shelf. Now, I keep a nice bowl of fruit on the table, so I will grab fruit first.

Tired of telling your kids to do the same thing over and over?!?!

Yes! Those checklists that we use with our babies at school work well for our babies at home as well. I use these with my boys at home and it makes our morning and afternoon routines go way smoother!

Your plants are a really great place to discard your broken egg shells. Egg shells are really beneficial for plants. The calcium in the shell strengthens stems and leaves while providing structural support for cell walls.

It also helps balance the pH level of the soil!

With the holiday season upon us, here is a little trick to wrap presents when you can’t seem to find the right way! Take it from someone that has trouble wrapping, this is a great help wrapping with small gifts without wasting paper and tape!

To properly build a fire, you need to have tinder (easy-lighting material), We all have a readily available supply of tinder: dryer lint!

To make fire starters, I stuff empty toilet paper tubes with dryer lint. I follow that up by rolling them in wax paper or newspaper and twisting the ends to keep the lint inside. This makes for a nice storage presentation. My dryer lint “logs” light quickly and easily burn long enough to light up the kindling. And I don’t have to resort to lighter fluid for this lint fire starter!
