Santa Fe, NM – Meyer Gallery is honored to present a new body of work by Contemporary Post-Impressionist, Brad Price. This collection emphasizes color, evokes emotion, and connects us with the warmth and vastness of the high desert of the Land of Enchantment.

Price describes his approach to this fresh work as “Van Goh on vacation.” We look forward to vivid colors and his signature brushwork accentuating iconic Southwestern landscapes, famed historic churches and chapels of the region, lively chamisas, and one of his perpetually beloved farolito paintings. Price also has some novel and exciting subjects that he has rarely or never painted before.

Specifically, the artist will have two masterworks on display, each measuring at 36” x 48”. These include a classic rendition of Chimney Rock featuring his bright palette and unique perspective, as well as another of the Sandstone Bluffs, a subject he has yet to paint at this scale. West of Albuquerque, the Sandstone Bluffs provide the perfect view of the El Malpais National Monument – referred to as the “Land of Frozen Fires,” this stark area tells the story of rugged volcanic lava flows.

Price will further be presenting a new location in New Mexico that we have never seen in his work: Laguna Pueblo, a stunning rural pueblo also West of Albuquerque. After being conquered by the Spanish in 1699, it was formed by refugees of the Hopi, Zuni, San Felipe, Zia, Sandia, and Acoma Pueblos. He describes it as the “New Mexican version of Italy.” With an idyllic vista encompassing Mount Taylor hugged by endless mesas, this land is one of Price’s most impactful discoveries as a painter.
