The Angels Flight site, where the Pershing Square Metro stop exists in Los Angeles is the location for a stunning new redevelopment plan. Angels Landing will encompass construction of both an SLS and Mondrian Hotel (192 and 289 rooms respectively) by sbe. Sbe encompasses both SLS Hotels, founded by Sam Nazarian as well as Mondrian (formerly Morgan Hotels Group). catering to a global, sophisticated audience and aims to create a ‘modern playground’ with world class cuisine, service and design SLS currently has properties at the heart of their upscale social neighborhoods in Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, South Beach
Florida and Baha Mar in the Bahamas. For the residents of the re-developed Angels Landing there will be some 425 apartments with an element of affordable housing to help avoid losing the community along with 250 ultra-luxury condominiums located in the center of a flourishing renaissance of this arts community. The residents will be able to enjoy a food hall emphasizing sustainability incorporating local businesses in addition to some 45,000 square feet of retail and restaurants designed to offer a mix of cuisine and shopping for residents and visitors.
