First of all, thank you so much for your interest in being a part of our team! We know that there are so many salons out there to choose from and we are honored that you'd want to consider us for your new salon home.
We'd like to take this opportunity to let you know a little bit about us before we move forward with the more formal interview process.
We want every team member to be hyper focused on doing their job to the best of their ability but we also recognize that each role in our salon is equally as valuable. No matter if you are support, production/talent, or operations.
Our secondary focus should be on helping each other succeed. It is our mission to have “positive awareness " about each and every team member in our salon. What that means is that if one person succeeds and is growing and excelling, it means that we all are. No one has to fail in order for another to succeed. We will all be individuals, yet integral parts of the success of METROPOLIS as a whole.
We are an hourly rate & commission employee salon with many team members who all work in harmony as a group. What that means to us is that we are looking for team players who not only want to help elevate each other in our salon, but that they want to improve our industry as a whole.
We DON'T believe that as industry professionals we should work every night, weekend, & holiday. We strive to create a perfect work life balance but that doesn't mean that we don't work hard!
We believe that in order to succeed you have to be kind to all people. With that core value in place we do not book, price, or discount services in any way based on gender identity, race, age, or sexual orientation.
We do things differently than any other salon you ’ ve ever worked at, or heard about. Our mission is to provide a space where all team members are valued, no matter how much industry experience you have, and that everyone is treated with kindness and respect. We’ve learned a lot over the past 8 years, and we ’ ve grown from every experience, client, and employee that has walked through our doors At Metropolis we are a team, we thrive by providing the best customer experience to our clients, and we know that your work environment is integral to maintaining the brand that we have created.
These are the strong legs of our team that we stand on. Operations is in charge of all major support actions like appointment scheduling, as well as the day to day running the salon, such as inventory, retail, stocking, cleaning, coordinating; basically running the show. You will set the tone for an elevated salon experience by being the first & last tea member a client interacts with. High energy, great personality & communication are a must.
These are the strong arms of our team that create the custom hair that we are known for. We do things differently, including a modern work schedule, a full supply of all hair tools, amazing back bar products and color line, as well as an endless supply of education. Our predominate focus is on dimensional color & grey coverage, custom extensions, and a full assortment of texture treatments, finished with an exceptional haircut or signature blowout. You will be a team player that is willing & able to step in and elevate the salon experience for all clients and other team members.
These are the backbone of our team, and the way we create strong foundations in our culture. We have created these positions to help new graduates or those new to the area acclimate to the way We work within our industry. This isn't just sweeping hair and cleaning up, it's a full time gig full of education, support, hands on experience, in a program that lasts normally 9 - 12 months.

Inspired by our travels to NYC, and across the world, we wanted to create a studio that was welcoming, yet still very luxurious, where every client is treated to the best experience regardless of their status or income.

STYLISTS arrive 15min before their shift to complete Goal Setting/Tracking, & prepare for the day. OPERATIONS first priority will always be the clients in the salon and their experience ASSISTANTS will be eager to learn, help where needed, & always add to the client experience, never detract from it with personal conversation or exclusion.
CLIENTS belong to no one but themselves. Our first priority will always be customer service & client experience and we will support you as a team member.
