12 Great Futures Breakfast 2013: The Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay hosted the 2nd annual breakfast at the Tampa Bay Times Forum. ion savvy guests attended St. Joseph’s Hospital’s Foundation’s 25th Annual Georgette’s Holiday Fashion Show. The spectacular runway show and elegant luncheon featured musical entertainment, professional dancers, celebrity models, 50/50 raffle drawings and a silent auction. Celebrity models included: Shannon Magrane, Mark Royals, Amanda Mason, Jaimi Hovan, Chris Fields, Veronica Cintron, Belinda Womack and Steve Jerve. The show was chaired by Cherie Schonbrun and Amber Schonbrun McDonnell and emceed by Jack Harris. The event netted in excess of $85,000 to support St. Joseph’s Hospital’s Foundation. | Celebrate the TaTas: A new fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research at Hadassah Medical Center in Israel, was held in Clearwater. The Gala honored Dr. Peter Blumencranz, Medical Director of Comprehensive Breast Program and Cancer Services for Morton Plant Mease Health Care. Barbara Baccari, Monica DiGiovanni, Claire Stiglitz and Terri Tankel (Hadassah Florida Central Region President) served as Event Co-chairs, and Honorary Gala Chairs were Reva Kent, Hilda Sachs and Lisl Schick. | Junior League of St. Petersburg Hosts Mayoral Ball: A sold-out crowd of more than 400 attended the Mayoral Ball and dinner that was themed around the Wizard of Oz — “Home ... there’s no place like St. Petersburg,” and catered by Parkshore Grill. An additional 100 guests joined the event for dessert, fireworks, declarations and dancing. Presenters included a City Proclamation read by Bill Dudley, Chair of City Council, Welcome Speech by Kathryn Gillette, Bayfront Market President & CEO and additional speeches by Lisa Johni, President of the Junior League of St. Petersburg and Jim Myers, Chairman of the Pinellas Education Foundation. The keynote address was made by newly elected St. Petersburg Mayor, Rick Kriseman.
