Skytrain billboard advertising is Vancouver’s premier advertising venue. Everyone takes the skytrain, locals and tourists alike. Until now, it hasn’t been possible for small businesses to advertise on them due to the high cost, $15,000 per quarter. We have taken 200 boards so we get a good rate and now we are passing that savings on to our advertisers. For one year, visitors can ride the rails and take a scenic trip across Canada or, tour the capitol cities of Europe. Maybe, exploring the history of Great Britain is more to your liking. Those looking for a warmer escape this winter, the islands of the Caribbean will be featured. And, if you want to go away but not too far, the highlights of Las Vegas can also be seen.

It Ain’t Over Until Faye Leung

The Hat Lady Sings CHRIS BEST

Join us on a hillarious road trip to the millineum and beyond Foreword by Peter C. Newman

We have several film projects in various stages of production that would make great movies.

Foremost is the story of Faye Leung one of Vancouver’s larger-than-life characters. A second generation Chinese Canadian citizen, she grew up in the age of discrimination. She fought for the underdog her entire life and accomplished alot.

You can read what LA producer Taleflick had to say about her after they reviewed our book on the next two pages.

The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse is a war story set in 1940s Lisbon, the escape hatch of Europe. Never been told before, it is full of double agents, spies, power brokers and everyone else trying to escape Fortress Europe.

It is written as a salute to action heroes past and present and was written for a Hollywood cast of A list actors, some no longer with us such as Robyn Williams.

One Beautiful Summer is a story about the education of youth, coming of age and the end of life. A 76 year old band director wonders if his life has all been worth it, taking his award winning boy’s band on ten, three to five month tours of Europe over 30 years. This one is written for Tom Hanks in the lead role of Arthur Delamont.

PUT THE BOOK DOWN

The story is undoubtedly awe-inspiring, but as it is an interview in which a reporter asks questions that Faye answers, sometimes those answers sound a little repetitive. However, the book is still very engaging.

WHY CONSIDER

All the elements for a work with the potential to attract a large audience are there. We have a strong, powerful, empowered, fearless main character with a feminist mindset at a time when women had no voice. We also have Faye’s husband, who also represents the strength of the Chinese immigrant. They had a massive power of transformation because they were visionary and mentally open to the new. The book has a significant theme, which is that of racism against Asians, which is a subject still little explored by the media. Many films portray racism against Black people, such as Green Book and Hidden Figures, but still little is reported on the discrimination and prejudice suffered by Asian immigrants, here represented by the Chinese community. So portraying critical themes, the book has as its primary topics Canada’s prejudice against Chinese immigrants and the issue of women who were still deprived of many things at that time. But Faye has never been intimidated by this “social demand” of keeping Chinese immigrants or women in their designated places, and she has managed not only to become a successful Business Woman, but also helped Canada tight international relations with Asia, helping highly in politics and business, and assisted the Chinese community to thrive and have their rights as well. It is a story of inspiration and overcoming, which has a controversial part of how Faye brought down Premier Vander Zalm because of a deal with a Taiwan billionaire. Still, even being controversial, this part brings more conflict to the plot, making the narrative most attractive.

SPECIAL EFFECTS

THE STORY DOES NOT RELY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS AWARDS

Because of the narrative’s importance, the story’s dramatic weight, and a large amount of content this book contains, it has excellent potential to earn awards.

FAN BASE

Yes, because the narrative is a tribute to a powerful woman who was a feminist ahead of her time, and it could also attract a large audience of Asian people who might see Faye as an inspiration.

Arthur Delamont was born into a large family of musical Salvationists in Hereford, England in 1892. He and his four brothers and father all played in the Hereford Salvation Army Band. It is said that Edward Elgar once conducted the band. The family immigrated to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1910 where they soon became a major part of the Moose Jaw Salvation Army Band. In 1914, a call went out for the best players across Canada to play in a Territorial Staff Band that was traveling to England for a World Congress of Salvationists. Arthur, his brother Leonard who was now was the conductor of the Moose Jaw Salvation Army Band and their father were all selected. Along with mother and one sister, they all travelled to Quebec City and boarded the ill-fated Empress of Ireland. Off the coast of Rimouski a short time after departure the Empress collided with a freighter and sank taking over one thousand lives. Arthur lost his brother Leonard who gave his lifejacket to his mother. The rest of the family including Arthur survived.
