You Double the Impact How you made the match
Early this year Metrocrest Services announced a “foodraising” initiative that matched all donations dollar-for-dollar designated to the Food Pantry where more than 200 families rely on for their groceries each week. We accepted the challenge to raise $100,000 knowing that longtime supporter and generous donor, Metrocrest Hospital Authority, would double the impact totaling $214,642. You answered the call – you made the match! Tracy Eubanks, CEO of Metrocrest Services says, “The support our Food Pantry has received from Metrocrest Hospital Authority and the community has made a tremendous impact.”

How your Donations Help Families Like David’s “It will help me survive until I can do better” says David who is seeking Food Pantry assistance for he and his family who struggle to pay for their monthly expenses due to a decline in the odd jobs he once relied on. Case managers evaluated his job prospects, renewed his budget and found ways to cut his expenses such as lowering his car insurance. His crisis worsened when his wife experienced a health crisis resulting in large medical bills. David knew they had the support of our Food Pantry to ease the fear of hunger as they tend to life’s challenging moments. We are happy to report David is using his passion for music to provide private lessons to play guitar and piano. He also works part time at his local Church. With donation matching campaigns we are able to double the impact and help families in crisis like David. “THANK YOU” to the donors who are helping build a stronger community together.

Groups Giving Back
Since their first donation in 2003, MONI Smart Security, has been dedicated to making an impact in our Metrocrest community. Throughout May-June, they collected nearly 24,000 food items for our Food Pantry.
Thomson Reuters staff helped Sack Summer Hunger which helps feed over 1,800 children this summer.
Since 2007, Prestonwood Baptist Church Adult 5 Fellowship has collected over 3,000 cereal boxes.
Get Involved Year Round! Help support our various Seasonal Programs through donating, volunteering, or sponsoring which truly make these efforts possible. Back to School Supplies Through partnerships with local businesses and churches, a parent may qualify to receive a new pair of school shoes for their child and/or a pack of gradeappropriate school supplies. Just $40 provides supplies, a new backpack, and uniform for one child and $400 provides for 10 children.

Food, Gifts, and Senior Basket Holiday Program Nonperishable foods, unwrapped toys, new (or newly cleaned) coats, and gift cards are provided to area families through a large-scale Holiday community effort of donation drives, volunteers and local support from individuals and groups.
Help the 1,300 students start the school year with confidence and experience the joy of serving 1,100 families during the holidays.
