English – 9 periods

RE – 3 periods
PE – 2 periods
Games – 4 periods (Tuesday)
6 option blocks of 6 periods each
Pupils no longer together all day as a Tutor Group.
Opportunity for new friendships.
Pupils are moving into a new phase in school.
Expect to do 2 hours a night of homework/study.

• Mobiles must be switched off, stored in locker, placed in school bag or placed inside blazer pocket between 8.40am and 3.15pm.
• Mobiles must not be used at any point in the school day. They should not be seen or heard at any time between 8:40am and 3:15pm unless a pupil is specifically directed to use their phone by a member of staff.
• Smartwatches - Bluetooth to be disabled.

Another way of saying this is:-
90% attendance means that a child is missing half a day of lessons every week.
In a single year this would mean a child has missed four whole weeks. Over five years it means that a child has missed half a school year i.e. 20 weeks, or one and a half terms or the equivalent of studying one full time GCSE for a year

• Apprenticeships or Employment require a minimum of 5 GCSE passes at A* to C with a pass in English Language and Mathematics
