Price Softball Field and New Fieldhouse will display Methodist University’s pride in the program, giving current student athletes a sense of ownership and showing prospective student athletes that Methodist University can offer the best, most modern softball facilities in the area.
ABOUT THE FIELDHOUSE The new Softball Fieldhouse at Price Field will be a welcome addition to the Monarch Softball program, adding a new dimension to the program and bringing it to the next level. With additional space for athletic training, it will also benefit other athletes, especially those who practice and play at the lower athletic facilities. Upgrades to the softball field are also planned, which include adding new seating and fencing and improving the dugouts. The new facility will give coaches and players their own space, conveniently close to home plate instead of more distantly located in the March F. Riddle Center, as well as a team locker room, storage space, and a lobby area that can be used for special events or as a place for students to study near the field. The Softball Fieldhouse will display Methodist University’s pride in the program, giving current student athletes a sense of ownership and showing recruits that Methodist University can offer the best, most modern softball facilities in the area.

Most modern softball facility in the area The building’s rooftop observation deck can be used for a variety of purposes, such as giving fans an elevated view of games, hosting special events, or just enjoying the weather while studying or hanging out. Spectators to games will also appreciate the addition of new restrooms with easy outdoor access from the field side of the building. The athletic training room will be available to all Monarch athletes, and will be manned by the University’s own athletic trainers. The University has six certified athletic trainers on staff, a great advantage at the NCAA Division III level of athletics. In addition, students majoring in athletic training gain valuable experience working with the student athletes and coaches of the University’s athletic programs.
