ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT SPIRAL WELDED PIPES

Spiral welded pipes are a significant component in the construction and manufacturing industry worldwide. They are designed to endure high pressure, strong vibration, and extreme weather conditions. They are made by rolling steel strips in spiral form, welding them together, and transforming them into cylinders with a smooth surface finish. Spiral welded pipes have become increasingly popular, and in this blog post, we will be discussing everything about spiral welded pipes.

TYPES OF SPIRAL WELDED PIPES
There are two types of spiral welded pipes: double-submerged arc welding (DSAW) and spiral submerged arc welding (SSAW). DSAW pipes are manufactured by using two welding processes, namely longitudinal and helical. After that, they are submerged in flux to protect them from moisture and any contaminations. On the other hand, SSAW pipes are made from a coil, which is then bent into a spiral shape and welded. The choice between DSAW and SSAW depends on the intended use and the location.
