PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Legislature of the County of Suffolk New York will meet at the William H. Rogers Building, 725 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge, New York 11788 in said County, on 30th day of July 2024 at 2:00 pm, Prevailing Time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon a proposal for an amendment to 2021 map, plan and report for the increase and improvements to the facilities of Suffolk County Sewer District No. 7 – Medford (the “District”); in and about the Town of Brookhaven, substantially in accordance with the amended maps, plans, report and recommendations (the “Map, Plan and Report”) prepared by the Suffolk County Sewer Agency, with the assistance of the Suffolk County Department of Public Works, and filed with the Legislature of the County of Suffolk, at which time and place said County Legislature will consider such proposal and hear all parties interested therein concerning the same.
Pursuant to Suffolk County Resolution Nos. 889-2016, 9502019 and 702-2022, the Suffolk County Legislature determined that it was in the public interest to increase and improve the Woodside facilities of Sewer District No. 7 –Medford (the “Project”) at a maximum cost of $5.35 million. As set forth within the Map, Plan and Report on file with the Legislature, additional funds are needed to complete all work. The public hearing is being held to address the proposed amendments to the Map and Plan and the increase in the amount to be expended for the improvement to the facilities of Sewer District No. 7 – Medford
Notice of Cost
The cost of the increase and improvement to the facilities of Sewer District No. 7 –Medford has risen from an estimated cost of $5.35 million in 2022 to a total estimated cost for the Project in the amount of $6.35 million as set forth in the Map, Plan and Report. The additional $1 million of the project costs will be funded by sewer district serial bonds and supported from the Suffolk County Assessment Stabilization Reserve Fund (“ASRF”).
There will be no fiscal impact to the benefited properties within Suffolk County Sewer District No. 7 - Medford, since ASRF funds will be used for the increase in cost and limit the increase to 3% annually, consistent with other County districts. In the case of Suffolk County Sewer District No. 7 –Medford, the projected total cost per typical property in 2024, 2025 and 2026 is $719, $741 and $763 respectively. Therefore, there is no fiscal impact caused to the benefited properties in the District as a result of the Project.
Copies of the map, engineering report, the public hearing report and the project summaries are available in the Office of the Department of Public Works, located in Yaphank and the Office of the Clerk of the County Legislature where they can be reviewed during normal business hours Monday through Friday. HANGAR ONE GENERATOR ADDITION

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Islip on behalf of the Long Island MacArthur Airport (“Town”), will receive sealed bids for the project titled, “Hangar One Generator Addition” at the Office of Purchasing, 401 Main Street, Room 227, Islip, New York (Use front entrance – second floor at the top of stairs) or may be dropped off in the container located in the front vestibule of the main entrance, no later than 11:00 a.m., local time on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time will not be opened, nor considered. All bids must include apprentice documents in a separate envelope. Bids received without the apprenticeship documents will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Main Terminal 1st Floor Art Gallery located at 100 Arrival Avenue, Ronkonkoma, New York 11779 to review the scope and inspect the area of work. Attendance at this conference is mandatory, as this is your only opportunity to see the secure site. Questions will be welcomed and answered through an addendum.
Description: The Scope of Work includes the installation of a new natural gas generator at Hangar 1 located at 2035 Smithtown Avenue. The work also includes a new concrete pad, ATS, and all connections to the building to make the generator fully operational. Contractor will be required to obtain AOA badges through the Airport badging office. Bid documents and specifications may be examined and obtained, beginning Thursday, July 18, 2024, from the Airport Administration Office located at the Terminal Building, 100 Arrival Avenue, Suite 100, Long Island MacArthur Airport, Ronkonkoma, New York 11779, from Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., A NONREFUNDABLE fee of one-hundred fifty ($150) dollars for each complete set obtained is required. The fee shall be in the form of a cashier’s or certified check made payable to the Town of Islip. No other forms of payment will be accepted. No bid will be accepted by email or facsimile. Each bid must be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond payable to the Town of Islip, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Total Bid Price. The successful bidder is required to furnish satisfactory Payment and Performance Bonds for the full amount of the Contract. The Town may make such investigations as deemed necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to perform the work. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days after being publicly opened and read. In the event bids are rejected or no bids are received, the Department of Purchasing is authorized to re-advertise for bids.
