SUFFOLK COUNTY NOTICE TO REDEEM FROM TAX SALE OF 2020 AUGUST 24, 2023

WHEREAS, the following described tracts, pieces or parcels of land were sold at the Tax Lien Sale held by the County Comptroller of Suffolk County on the4thdayofDecember,2020,and remain unredeemed (the names given being those of the reputed owners or occupants as the same appear on the assessment rolls for said tax year, followed by the Suffolk County Tax Map Numberascribedtotheparceland appear on the assessment roll of 2019/2020 from which the returns of unpaid taxes and the above mentioned tax sale was had; the amountsgivenbeing,ineachcase, (1)the amount of the tax plus (2)interest calculated to the last day on which redemption can be made, plus (3) advertising charges and plus (4) additional sums for the subsequent or older taxes or assessments, with interest and penalties, advanced through June 4, 2023, by the tax sale purchaser pursuant to the provisions of Section 75 of the Suffolk County Tax Act, and in addition to the amounts, specified; owners of the rights of redemption may be obliged to pay additional sums advanced by tax sales purchasers pursuant to Section 75 of the Suffolk County Tax Act on or after June 4, 2023.) Outstanding balances subsequent to this listing may be affected by acceptance of any partial payments made pursuant to Suffolk County Code Chapter 820 and/or Suffolk County Tax Act § 47-a.

All parcels must be redeemed within twelve months after the date of such sale except residential properties, which are defined as properties improved by a one, two or three family dwelling unit shall be permitted thirty-six months after the date of such sale to be redeemed.

N0W, THEREFORE, notice is hereby given that unless the sales of such tracts, pieces or parcels of land are redeemed on or before the 4th day of December, 2023, they will, where required, be conveyed to the purchaser or purchasers of said properties and the holders of the tax sale certificates, according to the provisions of the laws applicable thereto.

The KINGS PARK FIRE DISTRICT maintains a Buildings and Grounds Reserve Fund under Section 6(g) of the General Municipal Law in which account there is sufficient funds to accomplish the purpose hereinafter set forth; namely, refurbishment of the elevator at fire headquarters, and it is proposed to contract for such work in order to maintain the high standards of the KINGS PARK FIRE DEPARTMENT in the discharge of its duties in preserving the lives and property of the residents of the community and said work is deemed in the best interests of the residents of the KINGS PARK FIRE DISTRICT. The resolution further provides that there be transferred from the present Buildings and Grounds Reserve Fund of the KINGS PARK FIRE DISTRICT a sum not to exceed One Hundred Twenty Thousand ($120,000.00) Dollars for said work, and the District Treasurer is authorized to effect such transfer from time to time to effect such work.

This resolution shall not take effect until thirty (30) days unless in the meanwhile a mandatory referendum as provided by General Municipal Law is required to be held.

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Legislature of the County of Suffolk New York will meet in the Rose Y. Caracappa Auditorium of the William H. Rogers Building, 725 Veterans Memorial Highway, Hauppauge, New York in said County, on the 6th day of September 2023 at 6:30 pm, Prevailing Time, for the purpose of conducting a public hearing upon the Map and Plan for the increases and improvements to the facilities of Suffolk County Sewer District No. 26 – Huntington; in and about the Town of Huntington substantially in accordance with the maps, plans, report and recommendations prepared by the Suffolk County Sewer Agency, with the assistance of the Suffolk County Department of Public Works, and filed with the Legislature of the County of Suffolk, at which time and place said County Legislature will consider such proposal and hear all parties interested therein concerning the same. The public hearing is being held to address a proposed cost associated with the Map and Plan for the increase and improvement to the facilities of Sewer District No. 26 –Huntington.

Notice of Cost

The total cost of the increase and improvement to the facilities of Sewer District No. 26 – Huntington is estimated at $1.1 million including the increase of $750,000 as set forth in the amended Map and Plan.

There will be no fiscal impact to the benefited properties within Suffolk County Sewer District No. 26 – Huntington, since pursuant to the ASRF, all property owners in Suffolk County sewer districts experience a 3% annual increase regardless of any increases or improvements performed. In the case of Suffolk County Sewer District No. 26, the annual ASRF increase will result in an increase of approximately $17.00 per typical property within the District, regardless of additional funds necessary to complete the increase and improvement. Therefore, there is no fiscal impact caused to the benefited properties in the District as a result of the Map and Plan that reflects the cost of the increases and improvements.
