That is why the machine-building sector and the software industry must grow together in the future to maximize their success. This trend is also reflected at IT2Industry, the International Trade Fair and Open Conference for Intelligent, Digitally Networked Working Environments, which is in Hall B4 at AUTOMATICA2016.

It forms the interface between classical production and the industrial Internet of Things. Industrie 4.0-Demonstratoren ORiN Forum: Tatsächliche und simulierte Zusammenarbeit verschiedener Anwendungen (Halle B5, Stand 411) Am Stand des ORiN Forums wird die tatsächliche und simulierte Zusammenarbeit verschiedener Anwendungen in einer Linie gezeigt. Eine Vielzahl von unterschiedlichen Firmen, die das ORiN Forum unterstützen, zeigen, wie ihre Produkte in einer Simulationszelle problemlos zusammenarbeiten.

K:OS – Der Roboterarbeitsplatz der Zukunft (Halle B5, Stand 339)

Das vom Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie geförderte Technologieprogramm präsentiert auf der AUTOMATICA zwei Projekte.

Das Projekt Smart Face stellt einen miniaturisierten Ausschnitt einer sich selbst organisierenden Automobilmontage mit Arbeitsstationen, Supermarkt und kleinen Transportfahrzeugen vor, die Miniaturkarossen und Bauteile zwischen den Stationen transportieren. Scheinbar planlos, tatsächlich aber von den Agenten nach sinnvollen Kriterien gesteuert, schwärmen die Fahrzeuge zu den Stationen, um eine autonome, reibungslose Produktion und Materialbereitstellung zu gewährleisten. Im Projekt ReApp werden standardisierte Schnittstellen zur herstellerübergreifenden Integration von Software und Hardware für Robotersysteme definiert. Zusammen mit einem Katalog wiederverwendbarer Robotik-Apps und einer einfachen Entwicklungsumgebung sollen sich Robotersysteme schneller und günstiger anpassen lassen. Dies wird anhand einer Autotürmontage demonstriert.

Der Arbeitsplatz der Zukunft besteht aus der spontanen Interaktion von Mensch und Roboter, der flexiblen Online-Programmierung sowie der Vernetzung der Systeme untereinander. K:OS wird diese Paradigmenwechsel auf der AUTOMATICA2016 publikumswirksam für jedermann begreifbar machen.

Den Mittelpunkt des K:OS Showcase bilden Roboter unterschiedlicher Hersteller, sowohl klassische Industrieroboter als auch neuartige MRK-Roboter. Am Beispiel „Kollaborative Montage in der Automobilindustrie“ wird aufgezeigt, wie MRKArbeitsplätze und Standard-Industrierobotik in der Produktion der Zukunft zusammenspielen und für die Industrie 4.0 einfach vernetzt werden.

Die plattformübergreifende Programmierung unter K:OS macht die Erzeugung der Roboterprogramme kinderleicht und auch komplett unabhängig von spezifischen Roboterprogrammiersprachen und -betriebssystemen.

Workshop „Robotics and Autonomous Systems – International Law and Social Neuroscience Discoveries“ Nicht alles, was technisch möglich ist, findet auch Akzeptanz bei Anwendern.

Technischer Fortschritt muss ethische Grundsätze und rechtliche Rahmenbedingungen beachten. Dies gilt gerade im Bereich von Industrie 4.0, wo Menschen sehr eng mit Maschinen, Robotern und autonomen Systemen zusammenarbeiten. Vision Academy@AUTOMATICA Praxiswissen Bildverarbeitung to go Die Bildverarbeitung drängt verstärkt in die Automatisierungstechnik. Grund ist die zunehmende Vernetzung mit Industrie 4.0-Maschinen, die auch künftig dafür sorgen wird, dass sich die Bildverarbeitung in der Automatisierung etabliert.

Vision Academy@AUTOMATICA Machine vision: Practical know-how to go Machine vision continues to make its way into automation technology. The reason: increased networking with Industry 4.0 machines, which will also ensure that machine vision establishes itself in automation in the future.

As will educating and training specialists, which the Vision Academy has been doing for 15 years. Founded as a talent platform for application experts in industrial image processing, the academy has supported the creation of know-how on a broad basis ever since. AUTOMATICA Makeathon

AUTOMATICA Makeathon Als erste Messe in Europa veranstaltet die 7. Internationale Fachmesse für Automation und Mechatronik vom 23. bis 24. Juni 2016 den AUTOMATICA Makeathon.

Wie sieht das Format konkret aus?

In der Halle B4 (Stand 326) auf der AUTOMATICA werden rund 150 Teilnehmer in Teams gegeneinander antreten und ab Donnerstag 9:00 Uhr innovative Lösungen in den Bereichen Robotik, Internet of Things und Automation entwickeln. Die Gewinner stellen ihre Lösungen am Freitag, dem 24. Juni 2016, ab 12:00 Uhr auf dem Podium des Makeathon Stands vor und werden um 15:00 Uhr durch eine hochkarätige Jury auf der STARTUP WORLD-Bühne ausgezeichnet. Als Hauptpreis winkt eine Reise nach Gran Canaria. Daneben können Sachpreise wie 3D-Drucker und andere Hardware gewonnen werden.

Die Teilnehmer sind Studenten und junge Ingenieure aus Elektrotechnik, Mechatronik und Mechanik sowie Softwareentwickler, Projektmanager und Unternehmer aus der DACH-Region. Sie werden eigene Roboter bauen, virtuell kreieren, 3-D-drucken und daraus Fertigungswelten im Zeitalter der Industrie 4.0 generieren.

Was ist ein Makeathon?

Ein Makeathon (Wortschöpfung aus „to make“ und „Marathon“) ist ein kollaborativer Software- und Hardware-Entwicklungswettbewerb. Ziel ist es, innerhalb der kurzen Dauer von 24 Stunden erste Prototypen herzustellen.

Warum ein Makeathon auf der Messe?

Der Makeathon trägt dazu bei, die AUTOMATICA erlebbar zu machen und ihre Position als Innovationstreiber in der Branche weiter zu festigen. Das Format bietet neben innovativen Lösungen für die Branche eine einmalige Gelegenheit, Top Young Professionals aus den Bereichen Software Engineering, Mechatronik und Mechanik sowie Projektmanagement kennenzulernen und zu sehen, wie diese jungen Nachwuchskräfte innovative Lösungen für die Branche erarbeiten.

Integration Islands Von 21. bis 24. Juni ist die Stiftung „Technik macht Spaß!“ mit „Integration Islands“ auf dem MAKEATHON Stand (Halle B4, Stand 326) vertreten. An diesen Inseln der Integration können Schüler und junge Flüchtlinge ab 10 Jahren spielerisch mit Technik in Berührung kommen. An den betreuten Lernstationen können sie in kleinen Gruppen basteln, programmieren, löten und lernen. Unter anderem warten Lego Mindstorms und WeDo, Arduino, Drechseln und ein 3D-Drucker auf die Jugendlichen.

What is a makeathon?

As the first trade show in Europe, the 7th International Trade Fair for Automation and Mechatronics organizes the AUTOMATICA Makeathon from June 23–24, 2016.

A makeathon (combination of “making” and “marathon”) is a collaborative software and hardware development competition with the goal to build prototypes within 24 hours.

What happens during the makeathon?

Situated in hall B4 (Stand 326) and equipped with hardware and technologies of our partners, around 150 participants compete in teams from Thursday 9:00 onwards to develop innovative solutions in the fields of robotics, IoT and automation. On Friday at 12:00 the teams pitch their solutions to a high-profile jury on the stage of the Makeathon stand. At 15:00 the winning teams are awarded with attractive prizes such as a trip to Gran Canaria on the STARTUP WORLD stage.

What are the benefits of the makeathon at AUTOMATICA?

Integration Islands From 21–24 June, the charitable foundation “Technik macht Spaß!” (Technology is fun) will be present at the Makeathon booth (Hall B4, Stand 326) with “Integration Islands”. At these islands, pupils and young refugees from the age of 10 up can become familiar with technology in a playful way. Assisted by experienced coaches, they have the opportunity to craft, program, solder and learn. Lego Mindstorms and WeDo, Arduino, woodturning, a 3D printing and a lot more projects are waiting for the young people.

The idea is to bring AUTOMATICA to life for young people while further establishing its position as a driver of innovation in the automation industry. In addition, the format offers excellent recruiting opportunities by connecting high potentials with companies confronted with skill shortage. The main target group consists of trainees, young professionals and students from the areas of computer science and mechanical, electrical and mechatronic engineering.

Flexible Robotersysteme für die digitalisierte Produktion in KMU Hohe Variantenvielfalt und kleine Losgrößen in der kundenorientierten Produktion erfordern Robotersysteme, die vielfältig einsetzbar sind und weder eine komplizierte Programmierung benötigen noch einen hohen Flächenbedarf für Käfige haben. SMErobotics zeigt auf der AUTOMATICA2016 in Halle A4, Stand 131 elf innovative Roboterarbeitsplätze und Technologien für die Montage, das Schweißen und die Holzverarbeitung speziell für den Einsatz in kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen (KMU).

Intelligente Software ermöglicht Anwendungsfachkräften, die Roboter zeitsparend zu instruieren und effizient einzusetzen. Leistungsfähige Planungs- und Schlussfolgerungssysteme ersetzen die Programmierung. Sie berechnen Roboterprogramme aus Prozess- und CAD-Modellen, zuverlässige Sensorik erkennt und berücksichtigt Bauteilabweichungen und Positionierungsungenauigkeiten.

Innovative Technologien für Systemintegratoren wie, CAD-basierte grafische Programmierung und Einbindung semantischer Modelle, eröffnen neue Anwendungsfelder für Roboter.

Mehrere Roboterzellen und Arbeitsplätze für die Mensch-RoboterKollaboration demonstrieren das automatische Nahtschweißen sowie ein- und zweiarmige Montagearbeiten weitgehend ohne Positionierungseinrichtungen.

Ein Tool für den Investitions-Schnellcheck bietet KMUs einen Überblick über Kosten und Nutzen einer Roboterlösung.

Flexible robot systems for digitized production in SMEs A high number of variants and “lot size 1” in customer-driven productions need versatile robot systems that offer hassle-free programming and do not require cages. The European SMErobotics initiative presents eleven technology exhibits and innovative robot workplaces for assembly, welding and wood working. All are specifically designed for small and mid-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Intelligent software allows process experts untrained in robotics to efficiently instruct and operate the systems. Powerful planning and reasoning systems replace “classic” teach-in and offline programming. The software automatically computes robot programs from process and CAD models. Robust sensor systems detect work piece tolerances and position uncertainties in placing parts without fixtures.

Innovative technologies for system integrators such as CAD-based graphic programming and use of semantic models open up new application domains for robotic solutions in SMEs. Several robot cells and workplaces for human-robot collaboration show new technologies in applications from welding to one and two arm assembly that mostly do not need any fixtures. Advanced 3D sensing and planning allow for example automated seam welding with almost no need for human interaction.

An online quick-check tool offers SMEs a first estimate of costs and benefits of robot automation.
