NEW ACCESS POINT
On February 1, 2014, the gate at Allen Road that led to Ponta Creek Golf Course closed. All personnel wishing to access the golf course can gain access through the Main Gate, proceeding on Rosenbaum Avenue, taking a right on Fuller Road, right at Allen Road (past the Sonny Montgomery Fitness Center) and then take a left to the golf course.

All personnel requesting access to the golf course can gain access through the Main Gate, proceeding on Rosenbaum Avenue, taking a right on Fuller Road, right at Allen Road (past the base fitness center) and then take a left to the golf course.

The new access to the golf course does not change the policy on who can use the golf course. All personnel will need to be in compliance with the guidelines and regulations set forth by CNICINST 5530.14A, CNRSEINST 5530.1A, and NASMERINST 5530.1A. Compliance with these regulations includes a background check by the Pass and ID office prior to base access. Pass and ID personnel are now accepting applications for background checks, so please complete your request as soon as possible. Normal wait time is approximately 15-45 minutes dependent on operational requirements.
• Any person barred from a Navy Installation.
If personnel already have access through the Main Gate, no further action is required. Some disqualifications are:
• Membership within the previous 10 years in any organization that advocates the overthrow of the U.S. Government. • Any sexual offender criteria. • Persons with minor criminal infractions will be assessed on a case by case basis. All personnel are reminded that valid proof of insurance and valid registration must be maintained in their vehicles at all times and no personal weapons are permitted on the installation at any time, except by prior approval by the Commanding Officer. Please be patient with Security personnel at the Entry Control Points and at the Pass and ID office as we are working to complete all background checks in a timely manner. If there are any questions or concerns pertaining to background checks or any base access procedures please contact the Pass and ID Office at (601)679-2366/2509, thank you for your patience and understanding.
